Hey! I know you only listed those 3 games, but I would recommend you checking out Super Crossfire. It's new (just released) and looks very promising.

If you don't like how it looks, then I would choose Infinity Field from your list.

    Hey Gang,

I'm on a quest for more good REAL Mahjong games. Not real as in physical tiles and the like, but NOT the tile matching game that has seemingly co opted the term, "Mahjong".

Here is what I'm looking for in this real iPhone or iPad Mahjong game then:

-Complex Scoring: I want every aspect of my winning hand considered in my payout. Did I manage to go out with a hand of only one suit or all pongs, then that should mean a little something extra in my (or my opponent's) hand score. Also, hand in hand with this, I hope there is a detailed breakdown explaining what the points awarded for the hand are based on.

-Buckets of Recognized Special Hands: While I don't think I've scored any of these in my virtual gaming career, I just love the concept that they are recognized in the game (ala Nine Gates, Chain Six, etc.).

-Clever AI: Not only putting up a good fight to stop me from going out but actually able to score some of these special conditions themselves in their hands (single suit, all honors, all pongs, etc.). Different AI's with their own personalities would be even cooler.

-Detailed Stats: Something like the ELO Chess Ranking system tracked for each of the AI players would be one cool way to handle this.

-English Tiles: Being a silly westerner I don't know instantly how to distinguish the various Winds and Crack tiles from one another yet (all of the rest of the tiles are fairly self explanatory, of course).

So far the best I've found that fit most of these criteria are:

    Mahjong Mobile XL
    World Series Mahjong

Oh, and quick question in closing, does this post make sense here or should it be its own thread? I initially posted it as its own thread but one of the other moderators pointed out that this is just the kind of thing this thread was made for so I should move it in here but I'm afraid it will get lost in the zillion posts this thread generates each day.

October has been and is freaking insane for iOS games.

Agreed! I think the next couple of months overall will be very rewarding for iOS gamers, but yes October has been ridiculous. I almost can't keep up.

Check out King of Dragon Pass. It's not really what you described, but it does come close. It's a very deep game.

    So I was wanting some:

    1. New

    2. 2nd gen compatible

    3. Low file size

    4. Great Action games

Also wondering if Lara Croft is 2nd gen supported and what the file size was uncompressed. Thanks:)

You might want to read this thread. It might answer why no one has really responded.

Honestly, there's no possible way to keep up. Even if I just played games, ate, and slept everyday, the amount of new games I'd give 4-5 stars to would be too much to handle. Considering the time I spend playing games daily is much lower than that, it sucks pretty badly since I can't stand being left behind in terms of new games so I buy everything that looks really good to me. Bought 17 games, gifted 2 games, and received one gift so far in October. The thing is though..even while I spend at this rate, I'll only be spending about as much as one new console game by the end of the month. One.

Haha! That's how I am. I've already gotten 6 new games in the last couple weeks, and plan on getting quite a few upcoming games. As far as how much I play, it's a decent amount because it's mobile. If it wasn't mobile my game playing time would be almost non-existent. I haven't even touched my XBOX 360 in almost a year, and I really do want to play Battlefield 3, GOW 3, and Elder Scrolls on it. But in the end I probably won't.

    Bloons TD 4 HD ($4.99)

    Anomaly Warzone Earth HD ($3.99)

    Scribblenauts Remix ($4.99)

    ------------------------

Which one should I get first?

    Anomaly vs. SR

"Tower offense" with incredible visuals and great gameplay vs. one of the best puzzle games you'll play with a brilliant sandbox mode.

Comes down to preference. But yeah, Bloons TD 4 isn't on the same level.

Scribblenauts, then Anomaly. You can skip Bloons TD if you have other TD games. Otherwise, it's still a decent purchase, but probably not the best TD you can get for 4.99. That would be Anomaly. :D

Anomaly is a really fun TD and it looks great. Actually it's a reverse TD, in which I think makes it all the more fun.

Scribblenauts is just a fun game. Take it for face value.

Bloons TD, I never really got in to.

Hey Guys, I am having so much trouble picking out a game with all these releases. How good is Starbase Orion? It looks pretty fun and is it like the Civilization type games at all?

Also if you could let me know of any really really great must buy games that have come out recently that would be appreciated as well.

Stabase Orion is a great game! This is better than anything I can tell you:

    Other Must But Games
King of Dragon Pass (very, very in depth game, made for civilization lovers)
Galaxy Pirate Adventure (Better version of GOF, but that's just my opinion)
Scribblenauts (Just a fun game, no depth, take it at face value)
SiegeCraft (May be boring if you don't like casual catapult game)

Nice! I don't think you'll regret your choice. Reply back on how much you like it after you get some gameplay time in.

Hey everyone I've got $35 to spend on apps. I've got the majority of the popular games such as fruit ninja, cut the rope and was looking for any hidden gems.

    Any suggestions? [Besides shooters]
