lol Cut The Rope: Experiments for me too. Anything else that seems to be getting good reviews after they come out will probably get added to a wishlist and I will wait until a sale or something. I think the comic thing for Cut The Rope is going to be separate. Is that going to be another $0.99? lol Or will they give it for free to people who bought the new Cut The Rope or something? lol I thought I heard in 148apps' podcast, that the guy from ZeptoLab said "the game will have links to the comic". I can't remember if they were talking about the old or new game, or maybe they never said that. I guess we'll know when the end of august gets here, or maybe sooner.
So I won the Gameloft Free game friday contest (woohoo) and was wondering 2 things 1-What game i should get, I only have NOVA 1 and 2 2- Do they gift you the app, or do they send you a promo code?
They gift it to your email. lol I won a while ago too. I got Dungeon Hunter 2, since I had most of the other ones. And there weren't many other good ones. It was before all these newer games came out. lol
Who here is going to buy FFT? I used to love that game but I just can't justify spending that much money when the same amount could get me enough equally great games to last me a few months. I am curious if they will ever have a sale in the future. Anyone know if this is possible?
Haven't heard anything good about it and its $15.99!!! With that i can get 16 games! Cut the Rope, Cut the Rope 2, Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, angry Birds Rio, Gesundheit, etc. I can get them and more for less than FFT? I mean how much do they need? Surely they have made a substantial profit already?
Yeah but how long will each of those games last you..... This is a console quality game that is being transferred to the ios. It has tons of gameplay over 120 hours and you can upgrade your characters.
Dunno but i play Angry birds once every two days and im a long..... way to finishing it. So i would say all those game combined would last longer than FFT will
I agree, and it is really one of my favorite games. But there are so many great console quality selections for under 15 bucks. I should preface this with "if you have never played the game before, I still think 15 bucks is a bargain for such a great game." However, I still think my biggest bang to buck ratio is with buying aralon, guardian saga, disc drivin', and more. I guess I am just hoping for a sale in the future I would jump on this at 10, but 15 just crosses some mental line for me. I can't help but wonder if they are getting maximum profit at that price point. I think they would do better at 10 bucks, especially when it first releases - to get word of mouth and hype built up.
Well to compare some games, Battle for Wesnoth has over 300+ hours of campaign(and multiplayer) and it's $3.99... And it was on PC and Mac and linux before iOS so it's almost console-worthy.
Anyone agree on this? http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/Top+10+iPhone+charts/feature.asp?c=31995 I think they made good list but missed many and put some wrong games in!
FFT alone makes this the best release week of 2011 so far. If you haven't heard good things about it (triggy), then there's really something wrong. You might want to go check out what the most popular upcoming games thread for the past year is. That file size has nothing on Gameloft's title xP. And oh, comparing BfW's quality to FFT is a joke. So yeah, FFT and and CtR 2 for sure. Thinking about Temple Run, Kickin Momma, EmberWind, and a Game With Balls as well. Shift 2 looks like junk just like the first game. But yeah, tonight should be awesome.
1) I am totally buying this at midnight tonight (that's when I get paid and my money goes in my account) 2)You could have several games that will last you a while, but trust me, unlocking everyone and leveling everyone up with the different jobs will last you just as long while maintaining the fun factor get's my vote. That alone justifies the means. I have this already on the PSP, but I carry that much less than my iPod, so it's a no brainer here. Huge fan. 3) As for a sale, you will be waiting a lonnggggg time for a same. It's possible they will dumb the price down a few dollars, maybe perhaps around Christmas time, who knows. But I would expect one much sooner than then, especially a significant price drop.
I wasn't comparing, just noted that BfW has 300 hours of content if you can't afford FFT. I'm probably getting FFT, just got 25$ gift card, just gotta make some room for it.
Can someone explain me how you play FFT and what makes it so special? Is it worth removing my fav strategy game Battle for Wesnoth for? I got BfW on 2 computers tho, but is it still worth getting and removing BfW for More mb?
If you're a big fan of BfW, then this is your game. Like, you have to get it. Hopefully someone else will fill you up on the details of the game. At work right now.
I am a big fan of it And got it on pc no need for itouch version. Getting FFT!!!Still need details tho. And what'ssize after installation(to guys who have it already)?
IMHO FFT is one of the best games ever made. I spent months playing it back in the day. If you like BfW you should definitely give this a shot, I don't think you will regret it.
I'll quickly sum things up since I am at work as well. The game is really simple in essence, if you are used to TBS games. You have a character that you later recruit and acquire more guys on your team. Different races can do different classes. There are roughly about 20 classes in all I think: Squire Chemist Knight Archer Monk White Mage Black Mage Time Mage Summoner Thief Orator Mystic Geomancer Dragoon Samurai Ninja Arithmetician Bard Dancer Mime Onion Knight Dark Knight Each with different weapons, sets of Armour, abilities and spells they can use. You acquire these abilities throughout the game by leveling up, with weapons, and mastering them to permanently using them. Some quests will require a set amount of character (like 4-6). Most missions require you to pretty much destroy your enemies until they are all gone. Some missions require you to break a guarded item, some even require you to take on fairly difficult bosses. You can always do missions for rewards, or just straigh up free battles for some reward and experience. Like your typical FF game, you level up your character and the job classes themselves. That nature of the game is to use the battlefield to your advantage (Like Archers taking high ground to pick off enemies). Elemental resistances come into play when completing quests or missions where monsters are there. There are several different missions, as well as a main quest line of missions. Some missions even require you to send one of your guildies on a mission of their own, and they will only return once certain requirements are met (Win 6 battles, move 10 spaces on the main map, etc.) but usually reap great rewards for the longer hauls. This game is a masterpiece. It is seriously so fun to play, and there is no right or wrong way to play, or best builds for your team. You adapt to your team and your team adapts to how you play and your preferences. I highly suggest it.
