I'm looking for an app that I can use to download nes and snes music onto my iTouch online. GoodReader looks like one possibility. Should I get GoodReader? Otherwise, does anyone have any better suggestions? I'm on iOS 3.1.3 .
Not sure if words games are your thing, and I know you're not really a casual gamer, but I found Wooords to be a pretty decent casual game. At only .99, and universal, the quality and quantity of content you get is definitely superb.
I don't think you understand my point. I'm not a bad guy. In fact, I think I'm a little bit too generous. I've helped the Red Cross and the UN in relief efforts and donated as well, and I've done little things like giving my .99 app giveaway win to others in the Doodle Army threads. But enough of this, I'm not here to brag or make a point of being nice. The point here is, downloading an app just to delete it does not help anyone, and it does not help the kid. I think for him going through the process of making the game with a respected company was enough joy for him and his parents. The finished product was simply a bonus. I always think that the process is always more enjoyable than the finished product. It's incredibly awesome that the MaW foundation did this, and I applaud their efforts, and if I could do more for the kid, I would. But I'm not donating money to him or anything. I'm not helping him better his life in any way by donating. And downloading just so his game can get #1? No offense, I think we simply have different viewpoints here, but I find it wrong to "pamper" someone with a disadvantaged life. To me, that's disrespectful. Absolutely, COMPLETELY disrespectful. It's like grandkids that do everything possible for their grandparents just because they're old, even when their grandparents are capable of doing it themselves. Here, just because the kid unfortunately has medical issues, doesn't mean you should just have everyone download the game (even if they don't want to) just so he can see it peak on the charts. I feel really bad for the kid and look, I would download the game if there was some donate button or something, but there isn't. So all I can do is appreciate the efforts of the MaW Foundation, and that's it. And I really don't want to continue this conversation any further. I think I've shared my viewpoint and I hope you understand where I'm coming from. I think it's silly to argue over something that we actually agree on, just with different stances. Really, in the end, it's all about the kid enjoying a better life, and that's what we all want.
So.. Uh.. What's the best RPG/KRPG/SRPG thats less of a grind and supports 2G? I've done Wild frontier, Dungeon Hunter 1 & 2, Zenonia 2 & 3, Fantastic Knight, Hybrid: 1 & 2, and FF 3. What do you guys recommend?
Knighturn is an amazing SRPG that should support 2G and being a SRPG is totally grind free. The Quest Gold is the best RPG on the system. Dungeons and Such is addicting. Phantasy Star II is a retro blast but iffy port. Edit: None of my recommends match the style of your list so if your into grinding KRPGs some not on your list include Itarus, Terra, Queen's Crown, Guardian Soul, or Chronicles of Zic... but those have a lot of grinding. Exitium coming soon. Edit2: Check out rpg-site.com
HOLY SH!+ you basically played all the 'good' RPG/JRPG/KRPG there is!? Classic recommendations: Chaos Rings? (RPG). Aralon (RPG). Puzzle Quest (Puzzle RPG). Or you could do yourself a favor and hop onto slidetoplay's website and find all the 'RPG' games and decide for yourself... You seriously want more RPGs?
Reposting my question so it won't get lost in the bottomless ether of the M"WSIG"T: I'm looking for an app that I can use to download nes and snes music onto my iTouch online. GoodReader looks like one possibility. Should I get GoodReader? Otherwise, does anyone have any better suggestions? I'm on iOS 3.1.3 .
+1, if you need an ego stroke there are more appropriate ways than making believing you're "helping" with empty charity. "Strategy Role-Playing Game, generally involves more strategic tactical battlefield mechanics" said Urban Dictionary.
I will probably get Anomaly when it's at an even lower price, based on the demo on Steam and because I'm cheap like that. I'll be getting DeathSpank for sure though, it looks like 6.99 would be a great price for that one. Thanks.
Check out Knighturn or Sword and Earrings (aka Sw&Ear); there are lite/trial versions of each. Also, Final Fantasy Tactics is expected to release next week. War of Eustrath is a well respected SRPG. Others include Battle of Wesnoth, Pantheon Cycle, World to Conquer, Rebirth of Fortune, Mechano Wars, Shining Force, Fatal League... some of these are just turn based strategy like Hunters: Episode 1 or Tactical Soldier: Undead Rising.
Oh my gosh, I loved Final Fantasy Tactics! I will definitely be checking out all those games you listed Thank you both.
Another question... I have Wesnoth for Mac and have played a lot of it a long time ago... would you say I should get that, Knighturn, Sw&Ear, or War of Eustrath?
Thanks, mang. Will definitely look into Knighturn just saw it's gameplay. I forgot to add Chaos Rings to the list I've played through. I'm on the fence on getting Omega cause there are really bad reviews about it having the same content as the first one. I have Aralon but it's crashing way too much on my 2G. :c Still waiting for the SD of it, if CM will ever make one.
Haha, I don't hate casual games or anything. I mean I bought three of them this week if Zombie Gunship counts as one. Also, I love the ones that have multiplayer over GameCenter. It's just that oftentimes you get what you paid, $0.99. But, I can't say I like word games, heh. I've actually tried quite a few out, but the only one that works for me is Words with Friends, and that's only because everyone I know with an iDevice has the game. Chroisen and Inotia 3 are two good KRPGs that aren't on your list. Check those out. Inotia 3 is actually in my top 3 for KRPGs. Across Age DX and Secret of Mana are two JRPGs that play like KRPGs. They're pretty good games as well. You might want to wait for a sale on Secret of Mana though, which should be soon when Final Fantasy Tactics is out. I'd skip on Omega like you said. You can get it when it goes on sale eventually. It's indeed very similar to the first game. However, two JRPGs I can't recommend enough are Crimson Gem Saga and Ash. You really need to check those out. Final Fantasy III is of course an incredible JRPG as well. You might want to wait for a sale on that as well. It's $15.99 right now. Rimelands is a very unique RPG by Crescent Moon. I've actually played through it quite a few times. Yeah, I played through an iOS RPG more than once. It's that good. For SRPGs, I'd look to War of Eusrath, Battle for Wesnoth, and Highborn for my top three choices. Hope this helped man. I'm a huge iOS RPG nut as well.
I've seen the gameplay of Rimelands, I'm not liking the whole "pause & roll dice" before attacking thing.
Yeah, it's pretty hit and miss. It really grew on me though. The game's incredibly polished, and you really can't ask for more in the innovation department. Personally, I found it to be incredible.
