Oh, no! Backtothis is a pretty hardcore gamer. He said that this week sucked especially because he was NOT a casual gamer (and many releases are on the casual side). I, however, am more of a casual gamer and this week sucked even for me, so I was just backing him up
Ah, so you're the type of person who tries to replicate console gaming on a device not suited for console gaming, gotcha
Like I've said to many other PW fans, the game just isn't for me Anyway, an update for tonight: Deadlock was downloaded first, cause that was the biggest release tonight, but I realized this game would not be for me. The offline features for practice aren't really fun/logical, since you need to play a ton of online in order to unlock things that you can use in future online/offline games. I have an iPT so having online as the game's biggest draw is, well, not that big of a draw to me since I can only play the game when I have internet. When I don't, well, because of the offline limitations, I can't have much fun with the game, meaning I'll be wasting precious space on my 8GB iPT. Not that online is that fun either. The game itself when played online is a blast, but like I said, I just can't have much fun with the game having an 8GB iPT. However, let this simply be a warning to those that use their iPT to play games only when there is no internet access. For anyone else who uses their device constantly with internet accessibility, I'd say Deadlock is an instabuy. Going to download Dream Track Nation now, and looking at Wooords as well. Any impressions on Wooords will be greatly appreciated.
Wooords is that type of game that takes you by surprise. There's something really charming about it- the graphics and small effects give it a fun feel, and there's nothing that pressures you to rush- just think for a while. Daily challenges give great incentive to keep playing, as three stars are quite tough, and you can see how you stack up in leaderboards. (though once this game gets popular, it'll be corrupted like any other game). It's also fast to respond to words, which is a great plus. One more thing is the word that uses all the letters within a level- I haven't found any yet. I find wooords charming, simple and I wholeheartedly recommend it (or I'm just easily entertained. )
The game has definitely seen overwhelmingly positive reviews so far in its thread, and your feedback pretty much seals the deal for me. I'll download it right now, thanks!
No problem, I hope you enjoy it If you have an iPad, that's a plus, it plays great on it. edit: HOLY CRAP. I finally got a word that uses all the letters. On my first try. *pats own back like a loser*
Thanks for the kind words earlier. I actually am having a great time with Deadlock, heheh. Your impressions are understandable though. I nearly always have internet no matter where I am. By the way, you do own Phoenix Wright, right xP? Haha, that was me who said that, not crex. I'm pretty sure he was just joking around. Anyways, I've told you before that there's plenty of other reasons to want to play games other than Doodle Jump and co. on the iOS. I'm not the biggest fan of what people would usually call "casual" games, but I do have fun with quite a few of them, Angry Birds included. It's just that this week's releases genuinely don't look too impressive. I think Dream Track Nation is a ton of fun though.
I have an iPad, and it's a huge plus that it's universal. Now I can play on both! Nope Tried it on a friend's device and never got into it after about an hour of gameplay, so I never bothered buying it.
Really? If the game ever goes on sale again, I'll gift it to you xP. Not so sure I want to do that at the current price if what you said is true, lol. But yeah, remind me if the game ever goes on sale.
Haha, no thanks. Believe me when I say that I've tried real hard to get into the game, but it just didn't appeal to me. I actually enjoyed LA Noire a lot, which is a bit similar I would think, but PW is just something I never could've really gotten into.
It's a slow and text heavy adventure game with detective & lawyer elements... The writing is very good though there's almost no gameplay at all. Deadlock and Zombie Gunship are my GOTW
haha. Chill out dude. I love all iOS games. From the most casual (Angry Birds) to the most hardcore (Dead Space).
Just got Dream Track Nation And accidently bought puzzle agent by my credit card well dad's. Not regretting tho. Is Zombie Gunship worth it?
Did you like the CoD gunship level? Do you like slaughtering hordes of zombies? (and some mammoths that spawn later in the game) Are you satisfied with only 1 endless/survival game mode (devs are active in the forum and taking suggestions)? Do you like grinding for in game currency to unlock & upgrade your weapons etc with the option to purchase more via IAP? (the grind isn't bad, though the higher tier upgrades are individually costly) Ask yourself those questions and decide if you like the game.
I've downloaded Pirates!, Deadlock, Jet Set Go, Qubit, Wooords & ASP so will be playing those. I plan on getting Dream Track Nation next. * What do you guys think of the physics in Kingpin Pinball? I mean, it's only a buck but still, so are a lot of good games. * Wasn't Star Legends: The Blackstar Chronicles due out today as well? And March of Heroes?
I highly recommend pirate gunner, which might be my favorite puzzle game. Okay, any opinions about Hero of Sparta, Brother in Arms 2, and either of those over Dream Track Nation.
