Details, details. jk Just noticed in the sales forum that Meganoid is free, get it now while supplies last.
I've been playing some Red Conquest again lately with some friends online. It's still the best RTS on the iOS and works unimaginably well on the iPad 2. I'm really hoping we see another good RTS sometime soon as well. There's few of them to begin with, but good ones?...there's a handful, literally. Agreed. Both MS and LoE are so much better as speedrun platformers that Meganoid really isn't worth playing.
I'm going to europe for a week at the end of the month, and am open to all suggestions(games/movies) to spend the rest of my back to school gift card on($97)
Are there any decent party games out there? I'd be interested to see if a multiplayer game has been built that was designed for 3+ players, all sitting in the same room. Board / card game type of deals, I guess is what I'm thinking. And don't let 'party' think I mean 'mario party'. Minigame collections aren't really what I'm after. Anybody know of one?
Check out this thread:http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=86073 Its called Army of Frogs and its coming out on the 22nd. Looks like its what your looking for.
I really wish that EA made a sequel to their command & conquer game. But really, just going to have to wait for Starfront 2 I guess.
This is my 1000th post and I would like to ask everyone a question here. What is the app/game that makes ios gaming the best thing ever for you? PARTAY TIME!!
Lol..that's way too hard to answer considering how many games are available at the touch of a button. What makes the iOS my favorite platform though is the accessibility, portability, and the process of finding a good game including participating in awesome forums like TA, scanning through the charts daily, and oftentimes, taking a dive and hoping for a gem. No other platform compares really, at least for me. Other than having been a RTS nut on the PC, I've always been a much bigger fan of handhelds than consoles, starting with the Gameboy Pocket. They've come a long way.
Geez, where do I start? Dead Space, Phoenix Wright, Nova, PvZ, and the list goes on and on and on and on and on. And also, CONGRATZ DUDE!
Dead Space, Jet Car Stunts, Touchgrind BMX, NOVA 2 (Multiplayer), PvZ, Osmos, Ascension All of them are awesome experiences. congrats!!
I feel sorry for all the people who join the forums from now on, and make a legitimate attempt to buy and play all of the best game over the past two years. I have not played a second more than 5 minutes of CoD Zombies, Space Miner, Dead Space, Qubit, Monster Dash, Max Adventure, Papa Sangre, Feed me Oil, Cut the rope, Traniyard, Burn it All, Roalndo 2, Bounce on 2, NBA Jam, Mos Speedrun, Pix'n Love Rush, Game Dev Story, Race After 1977, Fast Five, Reckless Racing, Air Penguin, Puckerz, Backbreaker 2, Amazing breaker, Online Sniper League, and many more I did not plan on finishing that got deleted. Just thought I'd share my pain as I think about what to buy next.
There are quite a few good gems for iOS. But my current favorites which I play most of the times are Ascension (seriously addicted to this game), NBA Jam, Street Fighter IV Volt and Dead Space. Going to pick up Kard Combat very soon and hoping that Carcassonne will have a price drop to $4.99 soon so that I can pick it up.
I'm not really into the card battle games, but seeing all the hype many have been getting lately, I'm willing to give it a try. What would you say is the best one, or ones, to get?
It really depends on what kind of game you are looking for. If you like to collect cards and select your deck before playing you can give Urban Rivals or Shadow Era a try. If you would like to combine it with a kingdom building type game there is always Orions 2 (which was recently reviewed on the front page). If you enjoy tactical games where you draft your deck during play I don't think you can beat Ascension. Finally, Kard Combat is a great if you want the feel of magic the gathering without the collection or deck building - you get dealt random cards you will play with each time (based off of the cards you have unlocked through the campaign mode). There have been a lot of great ones out there and almost all of them have a free to try option so there is nothing to lose by giving it a go first. Whichever you try though, make sure you go find the forum and add some people there to get involved in the great multiplayer games going on. Good luck!
There is one game on that list that you NEED to play all the way through, and that game is Dead Space.
