No. Backups only save user info, address book, app saves, etc. You have to backup apps/music/podcasts/other media separately.
For apps, podcasts, and itunes purchases: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=1231961&postcount=5 For other music, wherever it is on your computer. You'll have to copy/save doubles on your own.
in japan they have a device they charge you 12.00 to dry your idevice out!! http://www.engadget.com/2010/08/12/dryer-box-hits-japan-promises-to-dry-out-soaked-cellphones-for/ and if it dose not fixor it you no pay the 12.00 not sure how well it works.. i would imagine anything that is on would be destroyed when it hit water but.. if it was off it may work. chris.
i have a big problem with my iphone 3G, when i was on firmware 4.0, my wifi worked perfectly with no problems until i updated the firmware to 4.0.2, now i cant even detect any wifi on my iphone from the update. I have seen a lot of people with this problem and dont know if its a bug from the 4.0.1 update when apple tweaked the frequency on the signal bars and now it cant detect wifi. ;(
when upgrading to 4.0.2 from 4.0, does iTunes just wipe everything off, restore to 4.0.2 firmware, then slap the backup data back on like it did with 3.x --> 4.0?
