Yeah... Doc Ock and Bullseye (the BullsOcks ) have ridiculously imbalanced environment support that really needs to be avoided, which in turn hampers your ability to actually try and take them down. Bullseye's environment (exploding spiderbots) is a bit easier to avoid, but his range, hopbacks, and passive slow on hit all pile up to make him a really annoying enemy in Villain Siege. Doc Ock's lasers are the most imbalanced of them all. You miss-time an attack that takes more than one second to perform and you are pretty much dead.
Last night I only needed 3 more Daredevil bios for 3* You can probably guess how much I got today after running both Elites. :/
I'm going to guess 2? Finally managed to get my main team to 5* yesterday. All I can say is 5* Luke Cage is an absolute beast. This morning in arena he almost took down a full 4* Journalistic Integrity team by himself (between his physical damage immunity and the stun on his 5* skill, there's not a lot of time for opponents to get hits in).
Probably one. I swear the game knows when you are getting close to a 3 star or something to taunt you into using 100 gems to refresh the 3 plays again lol.
How do you do against heavy energy teams like Ronan/Vision/Ultron? What is the rest of your team? Was this with full auto / no assist? I have Luke at 3 star, beginning to feel his power!
full auto and no use of assists, paired with a 5* Captain Marvel, and 5 * Black Widow in that order, all fully mastered. LC is at gear level 10, and with a fairly average ISO set (mostly 3* ISO from memory, I really need to work on that) BW didn't even see any action across all of my 10 matches. I haven't really come across any full on heavy energy teams, but I did notice teams with high level Vision/Ultron seemed to give LC more problems / damage, as did some of the higher ranked Spidermen.
Nice... Cant wait to get my Luke Cage to 5-stars too. Although a fully decked out Ultron can do that too, while only at 4-stars, especially if Spidey isnt on the first slot so you have time to prep a leap attack to interrupt the web stun. And i havent even tried a Ronan-Boosted Ultron. EDIT: Just read the full-auto part. I dont think Ultron can do that without a proper stun skill.
Since Widow didnt see much play, have you considered swapping her out with anyone with synergy to Luke Cage to further boost his stats?
Have thought about it, I've got a 4* Iron Fist that might work, and currently 3* Daredevil on the way. I've also got a 4* Spiderman and Venom, so could use one of them to boost CM, as another option. Having said that my BW has a uniform, and is fairly well kitted out, so the extra advantage from having 3 instead of 2 5*s probably slightly outweighs any pair synergy buff. Speaking of uniforms, someone has examined the game files and found there looks to be an upcoming War Machine uniform. He's already very powerful without one, with a uniform he could be very OP, and clear favourite for the best blaster in the game.
You are correct sir. He is a beast. Sweet Christmas!! image.jpg (272.0 KB) Oh and Exact-Psience, I will have the results for the Star-Lord/War Machine/Ironman combo tomorrow. I have been testing it out all day.
The difference in 4* and 5* is pretty big, my *5 Cap can defeat a full 4* Journalistic Integrity team by himself with almost half HP to spare, in auto and without assist.
I am starting to unlock a lot of characters now and was wondering which are the best 5 in the game? I want to only focus upgrading the ones which are worth it. I really liked the idea of getting Groot and using him for his healing.
War Machine, Vision, Ultron, Luke Cage, Black Widow and Spiderman are top-tier. Best supports are Ronan (his leadership skill) and Groot (his heal). Not sure if Starlord is a decent support through his Leadership skill to improve characters like War Machine. Other high-tier characters will include Captain America, Iron Man, The Destroyer, Black Panther, Black Bolt and Captain Marvel. Not really impressed with Daredevil (i have a fully decked out 4-star DD being my favorite Marvel superhero) since his combos just take too long to complete their animations which he takes damage while performing them. Im having mixed feelings with Hulk. He's strong in a sense that he has really low cooldowns on 2 of his skills, but none of them are guaranteed interrupts which make it difficult to get an advantage in damage trading. Doc Ock is pretty slow. He's decent when controlled, piece of crap when auto'd (AI doesnt combo-cancel his skills) even if he has one of the highest damage i have seen in a 2-damaging-skill character. Winter Soldier seems pretty solid since his skills interrupt a lot (like War Machine) but his punch combo is easily punished. Really like Punisher's kit having 2 quick, ranged, large AOE skills paired with a damage buff. For the same reasons i also like Green Goblin, but his passive and leadership skills are pretty lackluster. Havent extensively tested other characters yet, and my assessment on most are limited to 3-star rank while the ones i mentioned above i have at 4 to 5 stars, and i dont have resources to test most of the other GotG characters. So far i think Drax can be a decent character when he gets his stun, same with Kingpin.
Holy crap!!!!! I just got a 3 star black cat out if the free daily chest!!!! Thats nuts because normally its crap stuff in there.
Few things to consider if you want to use Groot's heal for support. Your characters need to stand in the healing circle to heal. That means kite-type characters and those that move around too much (Mockingbird, Daredevil, Black Panther, etc) wont work as effectively with it. Each tick heals 5% HP for a total of 10 ticks. This means that the higher the HP of the character being healed, the bigger the amount healed. This means that groot's heal is mostly effective on tank characters. Best ones to consider are Luke Cage, Captain America, Hulkbuster, Drax and anyone with innate invulnerability. That, or you can go for very high HP characters like a Doc Ock leader. Other bruisers like Hulk and Ultron are ok too, but they cant maximize heals like the others mentioned before would. To maximize this, have groot take the skill damage, then put out the heal, tag your character to heal in and just trade damage. Take note that if you want to heal the character that Groot replaced when he tagged in, Groot has to kite or fight for 10s before you can heal that character. That said, i think Luke Cage may be the best character to pair up with Groot. Drax also has a good kit with a stun, almost similar to Luke Cage and has a synergy with him, so i'd definitely go for that team. Groot's synergy teams are just crappy, so skip those. I use Groot+Mockingbird+Doc Ock leader and Doc Ock becomes a beast here, but Mockingbird is just dead weight.
That's a lot of management involved lol, I might just go for all out damage. In your opinion what would be the ultimate team to make in the whole game?
No team is the ultimate team. The game's also single-player oriented, so having the ultimate team will mean putting together your favorite characters and getting them powered to ceiling. Even low-tier characters will do well in terms of completing stuff you can do in this game when levelled up and upgraded. I love Ultron even back when there was no movie, so i decided to build comps around him. Generally, i like villains, but Daredevil is my favorite hero, so i also built a team around him. Each of their teams can do pretty much anything lvl40 and below. My Mechanical Mayhem team does anything above that. Journalistic Integrity is a pretty balanced team, which is why people like them. Still, it isnt even close to being an ultimate team. Overall though, the nature of the game is pretty open that no team is the ultimate team.
Got Daredevil to 3* (I only needed 1 more bio btw). Also recently got Green Goblin to 3* and close to the same for Hawkeye and Ghost Rider (hoping GR's third active makes him at least somewhat useable). Really loving this double biometric event. Also, last night I was farming some Nebula, and Hulk managed to bull rush an enemy standing near the energy gate (the one that prevents you from proceeding until the area is clear) SOOO hard, that he went through the energy gate, and was allowed to beat up the enemies waiting on the other side while there were still enemies trying to get to me from the other side. ("HULK BREAK GAME!!!") Fortunately I had Venom with me so he was able to pick off the remaining guys past the gate, because what the game also did was prevent me from completely rounding the corner to touch the gate, so not even Hulk's AoE damage would have reached far enough and I would have been stuck on the level without a proper ranged attack.
