Back on topic, I am beginning to think best individual characters will beat teams with most bonuses. I tried journalistic integrity and enemies of the kingpin, other than spiderman other characters on these teams are mediocre against bosses and arena. I do much better with war machine / spiderman and I need a top combat. Who is the best combat now? Kingpin is very easy to get with two elite stages plus arena, Captain America is top with uniform, there is luke cage also.
I'd vote for Luke Cage, his leadership bonus is time limited physical immunity, so a similar buff to Captain's uniform, but benefiting the whole team. Also fairly easy to get (3 elite stages, relatively early). I'm (still) running 4* versions of him, Black Widow, and Captain Marvel as my main arena team, and they're very strong. I've also got 4* Spiderman and War Machine, I really should mess around with different team combos, especially with the new class bonus buffs.
Well, Groot has a huge amount of potential. He's the only character with active Heal skill, and when he dies, he revives with 50% HP once.

Same here. I am going to try Luke Cage/Spider-Man/Venom soon. I'll let you know how that goes. I should have Luke Cage 5 star fairly soon which I think will make him OP.
Not how it works. You are allowe to play 10 special missions a day. So, for Groot, you play any of his special mission five times. You get an automatic bio for first completion. Aside from that it is random. After you do it five times you can unlock NO LIMIT mode which will let you replay the mission as many times as you can in 30 minutes. Then it resets and you will have 5 special missions you're allowed to play. You don't earn characters by completing missions. You're still earning bios same as always.
I am hoping Groot > Captain America with uniform / Luke Cage / Kingpin / Venom and take the crown of #1 combat character. His stages gives as many as 5 clearing tickets for 6 stamina and you can do it 10 times a day plus unlimited 30 minute window, which means you can get his bio faster than any other combat character except maybe Kingpin (2 elite + guaranteed 3 a day from arena)? It significantly reduce the amount of grind time. Just do 10 Groot and clear ticket everything else. Then you only have arena, villain siege, bonus missions. It can potentially cut down the time spent from 2 hours to 1 hour.
Yea very happy to see Rocket Check-ins starting, excited to get a good GotG team going. So i Noticed you can summon your other heroes in Arena now, is this just an unlimited 1 time summon for all of the matches? Has REALLY helped out with revenge.
That's been there since Day 1. Put in your 4 assists when choosing your team. You can call them in, one at a time, with a 10 second cooldown in between. There's no limit to how many times you can use them from match to match - just one time per match.
And, you can get TWO unlimited windows. Do 5 to get the window. Burn through it. Do 5 more again to get another. I just unlocked him and I'm in love. Can't wait to level him up.
Not that it's a bad thing, but I swear I've played 20 or more rounds with a few characters stuck on Best Condition. Were there any changes to that system? Maybe a fix for this is part of the 1.2.1 that was just released. I haven't updated from 1.2.0 yet.
Wow, thanks for the clarification, I have done 10 arenas almost every day since release and never noticed, first time i saw floating arrows over those spots.
