Rank 2 doesn't HAVE to mean better than Rank 1. Check this out. My Rank 1 Iron Fist has better base attack and defense than a Rank 2 Iron Man. Iron man had better Force (special attacks, right?) and slightly better HP. I'd much rather have a Rank 1 Iron Fist in a fight than a Rank 1 Iron Man. Combine the bonus stats and special attack he gets from partnering with Luke Cage, and you'll agree that bringing in the higher rank fighters doesn't always mean you're bringing your BEST fighters. Seems we're the only ones here who are quite happy having Iron Man in the team. In Iron Man's defence, can we argue that he can be effective depending on how you use him. For example, if you're happy using your brawlers to get through the body of a mission, e.g. Capt America, Iron Man gives you an option for the boss fight to hit special attacks at range. Fly around and keep your distance from the bosses while your meters recharge. Hit with special attacks again. Rinse and repeat. If you check out the end of our War Machine gameplay video on page 16, you can see how we do this and its worked for us so far. Having said that, andysmash is much further into the game than we are, so his strategies are clearly much more effective!
Those are all very good points. And to be honest, my main reason to advocate against Iron Man is only to demonstrate that emphasizing the importance of a Rank 2 character over someone you like is bad. People should play with the characters they enjoy and that are fun. Don't play with a default Rank 2 you don't enjoy just because you think they will be better than a Rank 1. The stats show otherwise, and your ISO/gear/skill can make anyone a viable character.
Oh, but also, midway through Chapter 5 you will be facing level 25 enemies. Rank 1 characters max out at 25, so you won't be able to go through the upper chapters without higher ranked characters. I'm fine with two Rank 2 and one Rank 1, but eventually that'll dry up I'm sure.
Has anyone seen a Rift with Modok in it? I have him maxed at 25 and I need to rank him up to get him higher ugh. Haven't seen a Modok rift Since i Started
i have been playing for 4 days now... my best char is captain america at rank 3 level 30. and the best way to get biometrics is from the dimension rift, choose the one with the higher level cap... the drop rate is 100%, but it will need 12 staminas per play.
