Starting out don't waste gems on refilling anything. The GM daily + 1 recharge a day....on top of easy daily + elite + MP energy earners, is going to keep u going for a good while. And if ur hardcore, u can easily knock out 8 hours of straight play the 1st day alone. Save gems for costumes (now or later), and the hero chests (like right now, as mentioned, where it's guaranteed a hero or their bios....which is going to become more and more rare). And early on there's ample opportunity to gain so much energy that you'll actually go "holy $#!+ I didn't know there were games this awesome on the App Store!!".....and STILL not run out of energy, so play on playa #
No Hell's Kitchen or Enemies of Kingpin either. Journalistic Integrity is tempting me, though. Still, it's the first time that they've put something up where you can reliably get large quantities of bios for a certain character (or 3 characters) Refills mainly, but the other useful one is if you are falling just short of beating an elite level, spend the gems to continue, and proceed to beat the level with 3 stars. You can use clear tickets after that to farm that level for bio, particularly if it has a character you are after.
Thanks for the advice guys. I ended up throwing a few bucks for the Spiderman, Venom and Captain Marvel Package. IMO, best deal I've ever seen in a F2P game w/ IAP. Was able to get my Spidey to 3* and breezing thru atm. Do you guys have any tips on farming Gold? I'm hurting atm w/ leveling all these SKills and Gear. Thanks in Advance.
The bonus missions net the most gold of the missions. Also make sure to do all the Daily/Weekly Achievements. Also do as much Villain Siege as you can - those net gold rewards too.
same here. i still believe MoCW team is the best. i will pass this offer. Journalistic Integrity is tempting, but I dont need 2 great team. why? because more than 1 team is only needed in villain siege and its not that tempting to reach 9 sieges in a day. i can manage 5 and nearly 6 now a day and i think its enough. simply said, i think MoCW team with full 4 stars & mastery can manage to deal latter stages, no need to drastically change to JI team.
Yeah... No matter how tempting, im sticking to my current teams. These new packages are a huge starting point for those new to the game though. That's three 3-star characters in a single purchase. From how much time ive spent playing this game, it seems worth it.

Wait, I think I'm missing something then. Great packages no doubt, exactly what I was looking for but wouldn't that many crystals cost 30 quid or am I missing something? Starks chest won't mature quick enough if one is new to the game before the deal expires so I'm wondering am I missing an easier, or well slightly cheaper way or is it really worth the 30 quid for that particular crystal package? Also is that crystal package still two for one? In that case, it'd really be 15 quid a team pack which for certain parts I'd imagine would actually be worth it but not too sure.
The 2 for 1 crystals deal is still on so the 1650 crystal pack will get you two team packs. Also you can definitely only have one of each pack, it won't let you buy multiples.
I finally have my Luke Cage maxed out at four stars with skills and gear and my patience is totally vindicated. In the arena with the bonuses...he has 21K health plus when his skill goes off, he is invulnerable to physical attacks for 8 seconds. So far, no team this week has gotten past Luke Cage, let alone my soon to be 5 star Black Widow and Spider-Man just waiting. I think they are getting bored.
I could buy three packs if I wanted to. Serious debate here. Journalistic and Asgard look to be the best deals, with Iron Man after. Man. But my crystals! You just know as soon as I spend them an even better deal will appear. Update: Got the Asgard pack. It took my Thor and Loki to Rank 3. And man, Angela is FUN to play with. Nothing but massive sword attacks. Loki is pretty cool too once you give him his upgrades. He puts up lots of shields and blasts people back when he attacks, so he's hard to hit. And Thor is an AOE monster. They're a cool team. In terms of getting the difficult-to-find heroes, I'd suggest the Asgard pack. You can't grind for any of them with ease, and Angela is more or less impossible without the most extreme luck.
Ah yeah, I understood the multiples part, I'm wondering if two strong ish teams are worth it really I suppose. The two for one on the crystals makes it extremely tempting so I'll probably just skip Starks stash one and buy the pack before they expire. Thanks for letting me know in the crystals part as it is key to deciding which way to go.

Alright. I finally gave in. I've been playing this game ever since it hit the App Store, and I'm now a VIP 2 because of making a big IAP. I usually don't put money into these temporary F2P games, but this one is really well made and looks like a console game. So, I dove in and got the packages for Iron Man/Hulkbuster/War Machine and Destroyer/Ultron/Vision. And since I had already leveled up a couple, I've got a couple that are close to 4 stars. I really haven't been going that far into the story yet, so I think it's time I stop farming as much and continue the story with these upgraded heroes. I just wish IAPs in Marvel's Contest of Champions were this good or worth it. There, it's always a gamble, and never has worked out for me. I still don't have any 3 star heroes that I like in that game.
Thanks for the heads up on farming Gold on Bonus Missions, its helping a ton leveling my Skills and Gear. Is there a list of Rifts that are possible in the game atm? I've only seen ones for: Spiderman Thor Loki Black Panther Ghost Rider Ultron Destroyer Vision Luke Cage
