Well, I'm reconsidering my starting 3. Initially had put all my efforts (gold, upgrades and ios) into Captain America and Black Widow. But now that I've unlocked Cpt Marvel, Spiderman and Venom, their synergy/team bonus seems like a much better investment long term.. Looks like I'm going to take a step back in order to take 2 steps forward down the line and only focus on those 3 for upgrades Hope I'm not making a mistake in letting my initial fav of Cpt America and Black Widow go to waste..
I'm considering the same thing! I should have gotten Spider-Man today (here's hoping for a Dimension Rift), but I have a 3* Venom and Captain Marvel (and 3* mastery on her). And I really really like how Captain Marvel plays. Decisions, decisions.
Yeah, I forgot to mention I had 3* mastery on her as well right off the bat. Yeah and I figure with the Siege levels I'll use the biometrics on Venom to speed up his stars rather than bothering with the Hulk (though I would have loved him). Done! It's my new 3. It's official!! lol
I agree Captain Marvel is a beast! She works well with Captain America and I have them paired up with Falcon, he's surprisingly really good because he can avoid damage with his specials. I need to keep leveling everyone up there are a bunch of good teams.
What's the best use for crystals? Dimension chests, hero chests...what are they best used for? Thanks in advance.

Team Up attack. When you have a themed team, the two (or three) member have access to it. When you hit it the whole team jumps out and does a joint attack.
How's the Villain Siege reward stage 5 till 9? I only manage to beat 4 stages. If stage 5 till 9 rewards are good. I need to consider like 9 teams to beat the whole stages daily right.
The rewards stay quite similar so don't sweat it. I can comfortable beat stage 5 now but stage 6 is a beast. It is going to be a long while before I can beat Stage 7 I think and I am pretty advanced (1/2 way to a 5* character). Best thing for Villain Siege is leveling up all your characters opportunistically so that when you have a boss down to 5%, you can use a scrub to hopefully take him down.
I would put Cpt. America on the back burner but I still think Black widow is one of the best for progression and in the arena because of her kiting abilities and ease of leveling up. The Spider-Man/Venom synergy is awesome simply because Spider-Man is awesome. Then again, Spider-Man has synergies with several characters so have a look to see what you like.
Don't forget that by level 40 you can raise your skill level to 40, masteries, equip 6 different ISO-8 slots (and hunt for set bonuses), and level up gear to level 11. All this is extremely expensive to max out so you have a lot of work ahead of you...even if everyone can get to 40 now. A fully decked out and levelled 40 is much stronger than a non-equipped one that just made it to 40.
I'm just curious. Let's say we're comparing Journalistic Integrity vs Civil War Memories. Is Journalistic team really MUCH better than Civil War? I feel Cpt America is quite good and has helped me till the point where I'm at now (Chapter 7-6) with 3 stars & master of him. So if toe-to-toe comparison. It should be like.. Cpt. America vs Venom Iron Man vs Cpt. Marvel Spider-Man = Spider-Man Example: In Autoplay he can solo all the pawns and boss. I don't have Venom yet, but is he better? For new stage, I only need Iron Man to gather the pawns and blast them with Unibeam twice and didn't waste any HP. I need a strong reason here if I need to change my current team.
I'm kinda disappointed in the overall lack of theme teams. I tried Hawkeye and Mockingbird along with War Machine, thinking for sure that would be at minimum some bonus between Hawkeye and Mock....but along with War Machine, that makes a west coast avengers team (that has been made as a set, so...)...but nothing. I guess I keep hoping this is the Marvel Universe that we're gonna get for a long time. We need more teams! So much Marvel history to draw from.
Im currently levelling up Daredevil+Spider Man+Punisher. They have a 3 man synergy, as well as DD+Spidey and DD+Punisher synergy. The downside is that they still have very low health pools. My Ultron at level 30 almost has 5k hp.
I simple hate Iron Man in this game. My Cpt America is definitely my most powerful character but doesn't have great synergy with who I have unlocked

well I was REALLY hating Iron Man until I ranked up him to 3 stars. His Unibeam is great and can wipe out pawns at once. as for Cpt. America, I also believe he will be useful in long term. We can refer to the stats projection from Marvel Universe feature. Stats-wise, he doesn't have much difference with (probably) best Combat character, Hulk. I don't have Hulk, so I don't know about both their gear bonus comparison can help this basic stats differ high. .
Uh, you do know that you can click on Team Bonus on the far right and see exactly what the team synergies are? No need to guess.
