So I lost my mind during this event... Did all Elite all day. I managed to not blow crystals on recharge (I have enough shields points for 100 energy if I need it for the second day of this event). However: the bonus drops from hero chests made me buy one. I got 100 punisher biometrics on the first one! Hadn't even unlocked him yet and I'm 28 biometrics from 4-starting him. Soooo, yeah (looks around) ... I blew the rest of my crystals trying to get that again and only got packs of 3 to 6. So much for recharges! In two days I unlock Captain marvel at least.
I'm liking her team up with venom and spiderman too. Meanwhile the cheap elite missions has been great, I'm probably less than a week away from my first 4*.

The first thing is to figure out which main 3 characters you want to focus on and always prioritize farming their maps for bios daily and avoid wasting energy on other chars unless you got spare energy or really want to unlock them. I believe black widow is still the best hero to continually farming considering that all her 3 maps unlocks fairly easily. Also do not spend gold freely, save them up and only spend on characters which you want to focus as well, gold are hard to comeby as your lvl progresses and characters skills cost a shitload to lvl up.
do you guys realize the level cap is changed? since when? where's the announcement? now 1 star to 4 stars character has level cap 40! this is really balancing the game for old and new player. .. and really helpful to beat the stages. very good update! .
LoL, they tend to implement first, then announce. That's ok though as long as it's very good update like this. Time to grind level.
Hmmm, now I need to figure out my new trio. I was leveling punisher because I was 3 going on 4 starring him. How big is the difference going to be from a 1 to 4 star character at 40? I have punisher and (today) cap marvel at 3 stars. Hulk buster, cap, Spider-Man, black widow, winter soldier at 2. I should unlock visions 2nd star in a day or two
you can project it via Marvel Universe feature I guess. Spider-Man for example. 1* level 40 PhyAtk: 822 PhyDef: 700 EnDef: 667 HP: 2615 4* level 40 PhyAtk: 1525 PhyDef: 1253 EnDef: 1193 HP: 4432 I guess the point for this increase level cap not to balance so 1* can vs 4* but since it took long time to collect Bio, we (in parallel), can level up our character. Which is very good.
That's what I'm wondering... Essentially there is no difference between a 1* and 4* character anymore except for how close they are to becoming a 5* character?? Not sure I like this change Edit: if what post above is accurate, then scratch what I just said
When you combine mastery (which also increases stats), rank and level there are lots of ways to make a character viable. Rank increases stats and gives powers. Mastery increases stats and gives a team buff. And level increases stats and unlocks gear. Anyway, aside from all that, judging by the PVP, lots of people have 1 4-star heroe, but no one else high enough to back them up. I will see a 4-star level 40 Captain Marvel teamed with 2-star Captain America and Iron Man. That's common. They're probably trying to fix that problem by making those lower-ranked character more viable. But still, having a high mastery, level and rank is still going to lead to the best hero.
Very interesting, should make it easier to progress in unlocking new levels without having to save for a long time for bios for ranking up. Also makes evenly leveling characters a bit trickier since each character has so much further to level before hitting their cap. Now to work out who to level up first....
