I don't understand all the hate for Iron Man. Sure there are better options for bosses. But his crowd abilities are amazing. Both of his energy attacks do area damage. What I like to do is run around and kite a bunch of mobs then use his two specials to damage and decimate entire groups.
The thing about iron man is that he has really weak basic attacks, meaning you have to kite when his abilities were in cool down.
I mean, I'll gladly take that for the ability to decimate 10 enemies at once. Hulkbuster is the only one I have that's on par in terms of AoE damage.
I dont hate him, in fact i use him just for some burst damage in a rotation, but he cant go toe-to-toe against anyone in the later missions. He does a decent amount of energy damage, but he's pretty squishy and has weak auto-attacks, and one interrupt any of his skills makes it very hard to get a decent trade. He's one of those you can call a glass cannon. He's good when he isnt taking damage, but he cant trade effectively if he's taking damage. That said, he's good at clearing minions, but subpar at bossfights.
Forgot to add that Hulkbuster has a weakness in his kit. When fighting against him (in arena), wait for any of his multi-hitting combos and interrupt him with your skills before he performs the second part of his skill attacks, and that would effectively cut his skill's effectiveness by half.
Right now Ultron is the main, with Bullseye and Iron Man. Bullseye provides the synergy with Ultron that gives me another skill. And i have Iron Man in there to prep for the time i unlock Octavius for a 3-man team combo. I really want to go with Ultron, Destroyer and Vision, but i've been unlucky with the Destroyer bios so far.
I'm really close to unlocking ultron and 2 star vision. Are they worth replacing Iron Man? I personally find Iron Man to be one of the best boss fighters. He can keep his distance and chip away while waiting for his skills, then go in for the kill with high-powered skills after a boss leaves an opening. In general, I'm really loving this game. The balancing is very fair, and each character seems to be useful in their own way. I'm looking forward to getting all the characters and experimenting with different teams down the road.
Being far advanced in the game now, I have noticed that gold becomes the most 'limiting' item to get. So here are my tips to farm gold: 1. Do the daily bonus missions. I usually do the Annnihilate missions because they are easy on Auto, quick and quite fun to watch. For 20 energy, you can net 30K on level 6 alone. 2. Using characters in your team lineup with the 'best condition' status increases your gold by 5% of the base...each! (Another reason why levelling up all characters isn't pointless) 3. Do your daily missions! You get significant gold for completing some of them. And getting the weekly missions is icing on the cake. Happy Future fighting.
If you want to make Iron Man more useful, once you have Captain America, master her ability 3 times and you will have 15% energy damage. Make her the team leader and magic happens. I do think War Machine is more useful though, particularly in PVP.
My suggestion is to stick with Black Widow. She is the easiest by far to level up and is one of the best with her speed and dodge to kite bosses around.
It is. If you get any special package chest, get the Universal one first. Half the universal characters are only found in dimension rifts or chests. With that said...once you have them, it is hard to level them up. I want to collect them all for the PVP Arena bonuses but that's pretty much it. They won't be in my main lineup.
Unfortunate but true. That actually holds true as a "need to be fixed" item. Too much crossover of polygons and animations. They did a really good job (I mean, this is a console game 7 years ago) but still need some tweaking in the code.
Destroyer bios are a B! And yet, the top player in MP is a Destroyer (I would assume that changes per region).
Should I go for Captain Marvel, Venom, and Black Bolt or Black Bolt, Thor, and Black Panther as my core team to shoot for? They both seem like strong teams.
When/how do you get paid for clearing dimension rifts? I've cleared several but haven't received my $2,500 each yet.
