Weird question - has anyone beaten the story mode? I got to chapter 7 and just assumed I wouldn't be able to go any further without great difficulty because of the level differences. I did a few levels today just for kicks and it was a piece of cake. My level 35 Captain Marvel is beating the entire level of 36+ foes solo. I feel foolish for wasting so much time grinding for bios to level up now, haha.

Is it possible to beat the game with level 35-ish characters? What about Elite levels? What kind of progress can be made there?

I got to chapter 7, too.
And got enough bios today to rank up Captain Marvel again. I'll give it a try tomorrow, she needs something stronger to level her from lv35 onwards or otherwise it'll take forever.

I bought the package also... Got 30 Black Cat bios but she needs 40. Where can I get the other 10? Her bio page says from the dimension chests in the shop. That's kind of messed up... So I have no way of grinding the other 10 right? I just have to wait and hope I get 10 randomly on my daily dimension chests which could potentially take forever.

Well, her power is luck-based. It makes sense you can only get bios for her through luck. You'r probably further along than anybody on this board though (I have 3 for her) - feel good about that!

I was the same I stopped doing new levels at level 6-2 (normal) and level 4-3 (elite) since my level 30 capped characters just weren't cutting it. Am now concentrating on levelling up Black Widow and Captain Marvel to level 35 or so, then will resume doing the levels. Might even be possible to do some more now (level 32 BW, and level 28 CM, as well as heavily upgraded lvl 30 War Machine and Luke Cage)

Also, has anyone else noticed the timeline battles "recommended" list is less well matched to the calibre of your roster than it was before the launch? Even taking on the top ranked team in the list, I was regularly taking down all 3 characters with my first one for about the first 7 of 10 battles.

Hey guys! Picked this up a few days ago, loving it so far. I was into Marvel Ultimate Alliance back in the day, and this seems to scratch the same itch.

Can anyone explain how to get VIP status, or what that even is? It's mentioned that if I have it I won't be limited in how many times I can attempt an Elite mission, and that seem to be the major barrier between me getting enough biometrics to rank up and unlock some new characters. As of today, I'm also having issues with my elite missions refreshing since I'm still at 0/3 attempts even though it has been 24 hours since I last completed them. The first bonus mission was also bugged like that (stuck at 0/5), so I couldn't get many upgrade kits today.

Also what is the best use for gems? Buying dimension chests seems like kind of a waste since you can only get a few biometrics or a decent iso-8 gem out of it, and getting an actual character costs 1,500 gems (more than I'll probably ever get for free). And does anyone have any thoughts on which characters are the most effective for late game? I'm still using the Cap, Ironman, and Black Widow for now, Ghost Rider was my free character and he doesn't seem that great.

Very interested in knowing this as well, as Thor seems to be exceptionally out of my reach and I wouldn't mind paying to get an early start with a character I enjoy.
Great mobile gem so far, really enjoying it!

VIP status is a tiered reward system that rewards you for spending real money on the game (buying crystals). You can only see the details in game by buying something (Tony Stark's stash will do it). Someone has compiled the list into the wiki at http://appinvasion.com/wiki/Marvel_Future_Fight_Wiki/VIP_Bonus_List Important note - "recharging" an elite level so you can replay it costs 250 gems even once you have VIP status, so it's a pretty costly way to upgrade.

The most obvious use for gems is energy recharges, although minimise the need for that by careful use of the auto energy recharge when gaining shield levels, and energy bonuses from achievements. The biggest limit I'm hitting at the moment is gold, so I'm also considering buying some of that with gems. You shouldn't have an issue with that early game.

I'd recommend particularly focusing on upgrading the 3 starting characters as much as you can (especially Black Widow, as she's the first character with two bio levels relatively early in the elite levels and is also pretty powerful), and also concentrating on clearing as many normal levels and elite levels with 3 stars as you can. Add in game friends too, the avengers assemble points and team up assistance help. In terms of additional characters, I like Luke Cage, particularly for clearing levels prior to the boss battle, and War Machine (better than Iron Man in this game IMO). I've heard good things about Ghost Rider too, he's pretty tough once he's levelled up. Also bear in mind there's team bonuses for certain combinations of characters, so if you find one you really like, that might help you to narrow down to others that go with them.

Speaking of bonuses, there's set bonuses per character where certain combinations of ISO-8 will give extra bonuses. Since ISO costs gems to unequip, try and assign it to characters in a way that will give those ISO-8 set bonsues.

You only unlock heros with biometrics and chests. Uniforms are just that :p

Thanks for the help! Yeah I'm actually not really tempted to buy things with gems in this game, the only things that I'd really want to get are way too expensive anyway. I guess I'll just save up, maybe I'll get Tony Stark's Stash eventually so I can get two free heroes.

I'm working on getting War Machine, I have like 3 more biometrics until he's mine. With him, Iron Man, and Hulkbuster I'll actually have two sets in the list, so hopefully that means two set bonuses. I'll also look into leveling up Ghost Rider a bit more, although right now I'm kinda stuck with my progression. Chapter 4 normal looks really tough and I just reached level 22 with my team. That said, bonus levels, Dimension portals, Daily Missions, and Replaying Elite levels is giving me plenty of other things to do with my energy.

The other thing is try to multitask wherever possible. If you're grinding a level you've already completed, be it elite, daily, dimension etc, take the opportunity to take a lower level character or two along so all your characters are levelled evenly(ish). Concentrate your skills / gear / mastery/ ISO upgrading on one character, then use that one as the leader for levelling up weaker characters. Once you unlock further, and get to villain sieges, you're going to get much further in them, and thus more chaos tickets etc with evenly levelled heroes. Try to minimise the number of levels you run with any level capped heroes, as that's experience wasted that could be going to someone not level capped.

Huh, my experience with Ghost Rider has been terrible so far. I can't even bear to level him much further than 20 because of how slow his attacks are, and how easily he gets killed. And that's saying something, cause I can cut down Destroyer in VS with Punisher to at least half hp before Frank goes down or time runs out. At what point does he start getting good?

(Not that I'm going to have much time, patience, or resources to devote to him, once I get Hulkbuster and Hulk. They're gonna get all my money and gear up kits. But maybe after all is said and done I'll make a serious effort to improve him)
