Yes, CA 2099 is far better than the AoU or standard CA. In addition you get another female hero for 4-6* BW.
I have the following at 4 stars and wondering which one I should try to get to 6 stars: Loki Malekith Thor Wasp Groot Angela I didn't purchase uniforms for any of them. Thanks.
Malekith is amazing at 5* so 6* would be overkill, I guess. If you get groot's uniform you get a very powerful tank. It all depends on who you want to be your leader until you get the others to 6*.
I'm in a pretty strong alliance (Alliance Level 20 with a bunch of guys with full crews of 6* Level 60 heroes), and we're relatively serious about making sure everyone is pulling their weight, so I'd advise looking for an alliance that matches your playstyle. We don't have minimums per se, aside from everyone running the alliance battle, but our commander does pay attention to production. I would look for a group that appears to be progressing (at this point, Level 10+ maybe?) and go from there. The game is structured so most things help you and few hurt you, and the alliance is an example of that. The bonuses are great, but I don't feel like I ever have to play when I don't want to to keep my alliance happy... tl;dr: Don't worry about where you end up, but try to look for a group with similar playstyles and goals. HTH! DBC
I would probably just go with the easiest to get to 6 stars. 1) Groot - Special Missions 2) Thor - 8-9 and Dimension Rifts 3) Loki - Dimension Rifts 4 or 6) Wasp - Special Mission for Yellow Jacket 5/6 or 4/5) Angela and Malekith - Ally and Enemy Shifters
I would recommend Groot if you're planning on picking up the Throot variant, which brings him to ridiculous levels of awesome. Barring that, Malekith is pretty nasty, and it sounds like Nm improved Thor... DBC
All of them! (Of course). Where in the game are you? How many 6* do you already have? If no 6*, what is your highest rated team? Loki is a glass cannon that is punching well below the average until you get him to 6* and upgrade his gear to at least 12/13. He'll be benched until he's at 6* unless you want to manually control him. (Have him at 6*, done that.) Until he's 6* he's useful for boss fights and very little else. Malekith peaks at 3* and then again at 6* but only for specific purposes. His 4* passive is meh, his 5* attack is average and he overall fades into mediocrity until his 6* attack which is only great if you're surrounded by large crowds. Another glass cannon that requires careful manual control to get the most out of. If I knew how disappointing he's going to be at 5* compared to others that are easier to obtain I'd have left him at 3* for lower tier Battleworld. If you get him to 6* he'll be great in Alliance Battle, but only against the mobs. You'll want to switch to another character when the frost beast comes out. Thor hits like a truck. He was hugely improved over the last couple of updates but his survivability is still fairly low when he's facing mobs. Going against the boss he'll show why he's the god of thunder (and not elementals. Or poison.). Combine him with Lincoln's leadership and Throot and you have a Damage Inc team. But all that comes at a price. Thor, especially non-uniformed, is low on defence and you'll need to set him up with defensive ISO-8. You may want to put him in a team with Ronan's leadership for that. Wasp is the opposite of glass cannons. She's fast, she's evasive and she doesn't deal much damage. She's the utility character, standing on the sidelines and pitching in here and there and everywhere. She's a natural leader and must be leading any team she's in. She's a defensive characters so boosting that side is going to get the most out of her. In 4-6* BW she should be your 2nd hero, with 1st one a high DPS one that will keep both opponents busy. Easy wins. Groot is Groot. Throot (uniformed Groot) is even more Groot. He's great at 4* already when he gets his resurrection skill and if you level him up to 45 he'll be the support cast you can take anywhere. Unlike most of the other characters on your list that show huge improvements as they step from 5* to 6* Groot gradually improves on his greatness and is useful throughout. The biggest improvement to Groot, beside his passive, is the uniform. It makes him universal, changes his attacks and skills and makes him immune to lightning attacks. Easiest of them all to get, question is just where you want to use him. Angela is great against bosses at 4* and hugely improves with 5* skill. She is one of those characters that need manual control every now and then. Her 6* skill balances her attacks by giving her a good crowd control attack. She's a big damage dealer at 5* but she's not as massively OP at 6* as the male side of her family. It all depends on where in the game you are and what you want to get out of your characters. If you want DPS machines then Loki and Thor are definitely it. If you want good utility / defensive characters then Groot and Wasp are it. If you want to have fun then Angela is better than Malekith. Mal deals damage but because his attacks are all aether based there's no/very little visual confirmation which reduces the enjoyment of playing him. Except for Malekith, who's 5* I have them all at 6* and at least level 55 and have spent a lot of time with each of them.
^Great writeup. I didnt know the changes to Thor made him a lot more viable too. I know Ultron can solo all stages since the Universal upgrades, im glad Thor also is what he shouldve been since the beginning... Basically a god. The downside though, is the same as Nebula and Lincoln, and to a certain extent Ultron and Black Widow, and the mirror match, is Throot's immunity to lightning damage. Mostly because Throot is a pretty common character. Would be cool to see an all lightning team though, with Thor, Nebula, and Lincoln as the leader. No type-duplicates here as well so that's a plus. That said, i am now leaning towards powering Thor up.
My Nebula is about a week away from being my third 6*. Captain Marvel may be my fourth. On the daily 1*-4* hero chest, has anyone gotten anything other than a one star hero? Not complaining, eight bios is better than nothing.
It's locked at 1* for the free version only because people complaining the first couple days that when it came up 4* it could "ruin" a member of their 1*-3* BW team (making them 4* and ineligible for the lower bracket)
That was unbelievable. The universal selector sale sold out under 2 mins. I guess we can expect a lot more Lokis and Thors all over alliance battles, multi play and timeline battles now.
Yeah... Im personally sick of seeing Yellow Jackets and Goliaths. To be fair, Superior Spiderman (not ultimete ) is still pretty new, so i guess he's ok for now. I abandoned my Yellowjacket for that reason. Now my Daredevil is Lv60 with maxed out skills and a 4-star Smart Raccoon ISO Set across the board. Upgrades are at 17/12/12/12, but im working on that next It's just unfortunate that the final 6 story stages, ones that give the most XP, all have Combat-type bosses in which DD (and almost every pre-60 speed-type) couldnt solo-auto at all.
Doubt it. Yellow Jacket / Goliath / Spider-Man seems to be the flavour of the year in timeline battles. Won't change any time soon. I'm looking for teams that have anything different than this same old, same old for some short challenges. The best one by far is the fellow running Ronan / Throot / UniVision team. Now that's a fun to go against team. Also a huge pain in the behind team to beat.
Is the Winter Soldier worth using? I am a big fan of his and he seems quite good from messing around in the training arena. What do you guys use as your main three?
I'm quite attached to my Superior Spider-Man (leader), Kingpin and Red Skull. Not only do they look imposing as hell, you get some nice bonuses combining them:
