Grinding slowly. I'm only upgrading my three mains that far, at the moment. When I eventually get them all the way to Level 20, then I'll work on someone else, I guess. It's a pain.
My personal Top characters: 1. Yellowjacket - OP as hell. 2 skill makes him invulnerable, all 4 skills can break, damage output is ridiculously high, second only to Green Goblin 2. AoU Vision - Mid-tier damage, but pretty OP kit with 1 evasive skill, 2 invulnerability skill, passive is immunity to physical, and he's Universal 3. Goliath - Damage output can match YJ's, makes up for lack of invulnerability skills by being a lot tankier. 4. Black Spiderman - 1 invulnerability skill, a stun, a 5s cd nuke, and his other skills are are dealing ridiculous damage as well 5. Superior Spiderman - right now is rising to near OP levels. 2 invulnerability skills, 1 stun, and he's the first combat type with this amount of damage trading kit. 6. Ronan - Pretty average, until you set him as the 6-star Leader of an all Universal team and they're statwise-OP. Ultron and Vision are his prime candidates, coz they have even more stats through their skins 7. Green Goblin - OP as hell damage. 2 evasive skills, 1 invulnerability skill, and the highest DPS in the entire game. His weakness is his def values and his low HP pool. Honorable mentions: Ultron - needs Ronan as a babysitter, and his new r6 skill made him pretty formidable. If enemy cant burst down the ultron army, it's pretty much cakewalk. Thor Groot - Just pretty tanky. Damage output is less than average, but he can build to be near unkillable. In other words, strong but boring.
Yeah, that looks pretty accurate based on what I see in Battleworld and Arena Battles. That being said, I use none of those characters. I didn't buy the Black Spidey suit because I didn't feel like it/I'm hoping for a different suit. Not sure what, just not that one. Powerful characters only matter if you want to actually be competitive. If you, like me, are content with getting 18 bios in almost every Battleworld and 180 Iso-8 in every Arena Battle week, than just pick whoever you want and you'll be fine.
I like doing teams using characters that don't get much love. Right now I have black bolt, black spidey, and zombie venom- black bolt is almost 5* and I'm at least 2 days away from having venom at 6* with spidey. Lash is on my secondary team with captain marvel(I really hope they boost her soon) and malketh, but I'm thinking of removing marvel. PvP in this game is pretty funny- they rely on their stats and skills, but don't use strategy. I've been against teams that should have swept me based on stats and skills, but all the person did was skill spam, and they lost. I'm glad I came back to this game, it's pretty great.
I thought Spidey and Venom were 2 of the most popular characters, especially back when everyone except me (and a few others) was running Journalistic Integrity. The spidey and venom skin just made them even more popular, and the final skills are pretty much icing.
I see spidey a lot, but not venom. Apparently he doesn't do enough damage or have enough health for the high-tier teams. Having capM on your team for the sake of that buff isn't worth it ,imo- she doesn't do enough damage or take enough damage to contribute to the team, yet. Plus farming her bios is so slow.
Wow I have reinstalled this game after taking a few months break and when I logged in, the game has given me a 100x bio selector, an 8x bio selector, 100 crystals and 300 dimension crystals. Buzzing!! Have to pick someone to level up now, after looking above I'm thinking Yellowjacket Edit. Been messing around in the preview arena and like the superior Spider-Man a lot as well.
Battle world question... I am supposed to select five characters but I only have three to choose from. Is this a glitch?
I had this problem a few hours ago (about 12 hours ago actually) but it fixed itself and now the roster pick is showing correctly.
I'll take that to mean "which are the 5 most fun characters to play" because there's so many different options for "Top Characters" depending on the game mode. Top for Arena may fall apart in the Story mode, top for Alliance Battle is not necessarily good in the Arena, etc. etc. Without further ado, here are my Top 5 fun characters I enjoy playing: Black Cat - Claws uniform. She's smooth, she's cool, she's pouncing like a tigress and moving through mobs at increasing pace. The uniform made the previously so-so character great to play because the increasing damage with each chain hit keeps the war dance going without her having to stop to return to previous dance partners for the final touch. She handles well in auto mode as well, but is more fun to control manually. Smooth animation and fluid transitions make her a graceful damage maker. Wasp. She's a hidden gem. The way she buzzes around the place, keeps her distance and still manages to survive onslaught of what are seemingly far tougher opponents make her a joy to watch and play. Survivability is her great asset - her DPS is low in comparison, but she lives far longer than many so her overall damage is significant. Black Panther. He's a beast. Fast, graceful dancer that leaves others gasping on the floor. I especially like to take him to the Arena where the AI can control his movement and I take over the skill management. He's fast, he's brutal, he's a whirring, flying blur of claws. Did I mention he's fast? Punisher Noir. Because the "John Woo treatment" that Punisher received made him super fun to play. Everybody knows that two pistols are better than a big silly gun. He's not the fastest, he's not the biggest, he's not even the tankiest. But he is the answer when you just want to go and play a fun character. Angela. She's the game's ultimate assassin character. Fast, graceful, strong ... but can't take damage too well, so you need to play her manually and you need to prioritise maintaining own HP over quickly destroying the opponent, come what may. You don't have to play her as carefully as the game's "glass cannons", just that you need to manage her well. Honourable mentions: Green Goblin Thor (Uni or without) Ultron Red Skull Superior Spider-Man (Doc Oc uniform) Black Widow
Black Friday sales coming later today! Crystal Sales - LINK - Buy one, get two free, plus some extra swag. Uniform Sales - LINK - Big news here is that all uniforms (minus AoU, possible Ant-Man as well) are switching from limited time to always available, but at 1250 crystals instead of 750. Doorbuster Sales - LINK - Some other packages that will be available this week. I'm thinking about getting a $10 crystal pack, which will let me buy 2 uniforms. Plus my sub will let me get a third. Planning on finally grabbing Black Suit Spidey, Widow 2099, and probably Throot.
Nice.. thanks for the headsup. The only reason i dont have a uniform on spidey is that i hate the black spidey costume in the comics. LOL If they had something like Ultimate Spiderman i'd instabuy that costume, even buy crystals for it if i didnt have any. On the other hand, it may not be possible to see Ultimate since that isnt Peter Parker anymore. They at least proved that with what they did to Superior Spiderman being a Doc Ock variant rather than a Spiderman one. Oh yeah, and i think they should rename "uniform" to variant or something like that since these arent just wardrobe changes anymore.
Just got my "sale" prompts this morning... Dear God, these guys know how to do sales! Edit: Looking to break down and buy a Cap uni. Any feedback on the male vs. female variants? Looks like the Secret Wars variant is better? DBC
Anyone have any Alliance ideas? I'm new to playing and there's ALOT going on. I just don't want to make a wrong decision about joining a random alliance early on... Thanks in advance, Richard
I totally agree. I love my Spider-Man, and I want him to be tougher, but I think the black suit is sort of boring. I feel like I should get it just because, but I don't really need a stronger Spidey, because I'm not going to put in the time and effort to be truly competitive. I'm vulnerable to people around me influencing me though, and this guy at work is trying to convince me. I want Miles pretty bad. I'd love a Spider-Verse update with Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man 2099, and Spider-Woman. Just got the Superior suit today, and I love it! I can't remember if you can look at the front page of alliances, but if you can, look at the leader's message. Alliances that have a requirement are a good thing (you must contribute X experience a day, usually). Other than that, the same thing you look for in any game - active members. You can always submit an application to TA Synergy, but it can take a while to get in.
Ah, ok. Thanks. I think I'm gonna invest some time (and money) into this one so I'll probably just apply with TA Synergy then
Sorry for the 2x post. This is awesome...and as always I'm late to the party Can someone steer me in the right direction of how I send gifts to my GC friends? I recieved one from Echoen (thx) but can't locate a send option.
Top row on the main screen. Looks like a circle with a person's head and shoulders inside. That goes to your friend screens. You've got Facebook/GC friends, other app connections, in game friends, and find new in game friends tabs across the top. From there, it should be mostly self explanatory. Thinking more about the Black Friday sales, especially after the Black Suit Spidey stuff above, I may just skip these deals. I should be able to still get the Widow 2099 costume, but I don't know that I care enough about Black Suit Spidey or Throot (or any of the other costumes) to need to spend $10 of the $15ish I have left on a gift card. Decisions, decisions.
