Someone much smarter than myself has explained the problem with this. Read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cow_Clicker. Download a clicker game (Adventure Capitalist, Tap Titans, etc) and see how much that experience mimics this game. When the game plays itself, and all you do is watch numbers go higher while doing tiny amount of time management, the game plays for you (manages the grind for you) and you're just wasting life on, again, chasing the dragon.
Thing is, I don't watch. I do something else. When I hit my goal, then I go beat the next level, which is something I have to do myself. I like that, it shouldn't let me get away with just autoplaying the whole game because then it is just mindless grinding for no point. I also think the game does a good job in differentiating the characters so that there is some point in having them instead of the non-stop clones of Contest of Champions where there is little difference in performance and what difference there is becomes so minute as to make no difference. The game DOES have a substantive problem where most of the game becomes autoplaying the grind for bios. I'm not saying you don't have some good points. You do have some really good points. What I am saying is that there is still a "game" there for anyone wanting to look for it but it tends to get overshadowed by the "time management" aspects. Now they are taking steps to alleviate that but so far the new villain arena seems like a bust to me.
I noticed all my early Elite levels have switched from Low to Medium and are now dropping bios like crazy. What did I do? (not complaining)
wow, been 6 days without a post here. seems you guys have lost your interest in this game? if no new big update by end of this month, i also consider playing less time. had my 21st 5 stars hero (Drax) yesterday, and its getting boring.
Agreed I really need an update with new characters. I am only logging in to do some dailies and collect my mail really.
Nah, not lost interest at all, just haven't found anything to reply to here. Yes, it's a chicken and egg thing. Spending a bit more time getting updates elsewhere and having a few topical discussions. How about the multi-player arena, eh?
Just nothing to talk about really. Everyday is the same grind, same set of tasks to complete. There's the occasional rank up, but at this point it's pretty rare... Pretty close to my third 6-star though, so for that i feel accomplished at least.
yeah, MP is the feature that keep me in touch. each hero usefulness in MP is different than the other, that's the interesting point. i.e Groot can help heal team to avoid getting killed by Destroyer's meteors, Thor (which is not good in Arena) can be a support striker with Lightning behind combat hero, or Drax can help lower boss' P.DEF so team can kill boss quicker. that's really the interesting thing about MP. i hope at least MP be updated in next update. to, lets say play with alliance member easier than invite via LINE / Whatsapp.
I want to comment on the Bold statement above. I agree that auto-play and most of the game do not need any skill at all, but I believe it is totally difference with the Multi-Play. I can really see the difference of player's skills when playing with a teammate. I.e, some people just can't guess when Destroyer's meteor will fall // Doc Ock laser will turn on // avoid Bullseye suicide bot. They kept dying because they lack of skill. I don't know whether they just lazy to move their pad or not, but this 'lack of skill' made some battle harder and even some resulted in failure.
Well my first and only 5 star so far is Spiderman! Just got him there today, any teams I should have him on like Venom and Captain Marvels or not really?
I think my first will be Ultron, his bios are easy to come by. I bought his Mark 1 costume and I lovingly refer to him as Sparky.
Congratulations! Keep him with Venom, the Symbiote team is good for a while. Consider replacing Captain Marvel with a high powered blaster such as War Machine or Yellow Jacket. If you're after a good leader that also holds their own consider either Ultron or Wasp. They're both very, very good if often underrated. MK1 is a legend. By far my favourite Ultron uniform. Ultron was my first 6* and he's permanent member of my Arena team no 1. Other permanent members are 6* BW and 6* YJ. Equip him as a dodge tank, boost his HP and you have a great hero there. Not a mistake, honestly. I have Star-Lord (who?) at 5* and whilst he's great fun to play in VS against Doc Oc and his 5* skill is good he's not in the same class as Ultron. Fun, but also high maintenance and his leadership is only good for blasters. Besides, the list for 2* starting heroes has much better options: Red Hulk Giant Man Punisher Black Panther Venom Kingpin Hulkbuster Gamora Spider-Man Elektra Yellowjacket Rocket Racoon Star Lord Malekith Ronan Thor Loki Ultron Black Bolt
@Jernau Thanks for the list! Question: Has anyone ever gotten anything decent from the lucky box or the assemble box?
No but that free dimension chest I crap you not I got a 3 star Blackcat and a 6 star iso piece from. Those were my best 2 pulls though.
TBH, I gambled on that box a lot in the beginning and most of the time you get crap. Better off w/ the 25stam.
Hey been a while since I posted on this! Anyone know how to email netmarble? Really want to ask if they will ever bring back the all star captain America uniform!! Iron patriot and vision look so incomplete with regular ol' falcon haha
Yellowjacket is a BEAST! Level 26 not mastered just beat my Captain America level 36 once mastered in an auto play arena fight. I think once I get Ultron to 4 stars he will be my next target in Special missions. My current team is Gamora, Nebula and Ultron (Mark 1) not because the are so great but just because I like those characters. Only been playing for two weeks so all are still at three stars.
