Currently with these 5 star characters I already beat all contents in the game today, this really is to be future proof. Going from level 9 gear / 25 skill / 6 iso to level 15 / 50 skill / 8 iso is a gigantic jump in power and you just can't afford to do this for anyone outside of the main team. 1) Giant Man, no brainer, easiest to farm, already 6 star, huge buff with uniform, does 30k damage with 3 and 5 star specials. Safe move rotation for combat, not even black panther can stand up to him. 2) War Machine, I am torn between my fully invested War Machine and starting fresh with Yellow Jacket farming. I have yet to face a 5 star Yellow Jacket that can take out my War Machine in arena full auto no assist. If the missle barrage lands, Yellow Jacket is dead although his invulnerable moves make it annoying. WM also has a stronger leadership for Giant Man and 3) Spiderman - Not much needs to be said about him. Beats blaster/most speed, stomped by combat. Huge damage with War Machine buff. Close call against Black Widow and Green Goblin. 4) Green Goblin - I really like this guy. Vision killer with +50% poison damage go right through that physical immunity. Much more damage on his kiting game. But he does not benefit from wm buff, I will have to use Giant Man buff which ia still a good pvp buff. 5) Black Widow, disappointing 5 star move, will need 6 star move most likely to compete. With uniform and dodge gear I find her to be close to Spiderman in power. 6) Ronan - A tank with his leadership, good damage, my uniform Vision is only 4 star however. And I can't find a strong enough third universal character near their power. I am considering War Machine, Giant Man and Spiderman as my final 6 star, level 50 skill, level 15 gear, what do you think?
Guys who is best to make a team with Starlord as leader? Is Chatterbox the only team really with him?
I would just do a triple blaster team with him. Yellow Jacket + Vision are two of the top five characters, you can ignore all other team bonuses.
Sounds workable to me, I've got 5* on War Machine and Spiderman, and both of them impress me. I've read rumours somewhere that War Machine is getting a 6* skill soon, so I'd definitely keep on working on him. He's already pretty lethal especially with uniform, and I'm only running him at level 40, level 10 gear and level 30 skills (and a lowish level 6 ISO set). Are WM/Giant Man/Spiderman a team with team bonuses or a collection of individuals? If they're individuals, are they at least strikers for each other? My plan is to get the three teams I'm looking at seriously (Hello Hells Kitchen and Enemies of Kingpin, and Journalistic Integrity) to 5* and see how they go compared to individually picked combinations of 5* characters (since I have BW and WM that obviously don't fit into those teams, too). Then decide on a "final" main team to really spend up big on ISO/skills/gear, as you say. Still running Luke Cage/Captain Marvel/Black Widow in arena, but may change that around once I've levelled up my other 5*s more.
If you really want a 3-man synergy team, you also have Gun Lovers as an option. It has triple synergy bonus too since Punisher+Rocket also has bonuses. The tradoff is that you lose a top-tier character (Spidey) for a few more stat boosts. Other than that, i would also suggest trying out a full Energy-type team, especially since you want to abuse Starlord's powerful leadership skill. Good option to accompany SL is Yellow Jacket+Ironman. Rocket+MODOK is viable too, but MODOK is a bit on the slow side. Rocket + any high/top tier Energy-based character is a decent option too. Dont go Ironman+War Machine. I only realized this fairly recently, but the problem with War Machine is that his skills are scaling from his Physical Atk stat, and not his Energy Atk, so he doesnt benefit from SL's leadership skill. You may even go without any synergies and just put 2 top tier characters to back Starlord up, like Vision (no uniform)+Yellow Jacket for example. They provide so much utility in their kits that you wont need any synergy stat bonuses since those arent that significant if you dont have them stacking. Starlord's insane energy atk boost can just push these guys into overdrive. The damage penalty you get by facing Speed-types will be negated by just dealing more damage. Good luck with whatever path you decide to take!
You must have met really badly geared YJs... My 5 star YJ can almost take out a whole team of 5 stars in arena by himself. It doesnt matter which heroes. YJ is the best hero in the game right now. There is nothing that even comes close. He is in a league of his own
I totally agree. Just got him to 5-stars too, and it only improved my agreement on him being the best character in the game. War Machine is basically a stun bot. He has the best interrupts in the game as they come out too fast, but his damage is relatively lower compared to most characters.
Details for the new update: http://www.mobirum.com/article/detail?cafeId=futurefight_en&bbsId=75&id=20772 No new heroes or costumes, I'm afraid. There will also be some changes when it comes to drop rates for shifters in special missions (shifters will now have a 100% bio drop rate, but won't always show up), so be prepared for that.
Other than the team up play beta mode, the thing that struck me most was the skill preview - an extension to the existing marvel universe simulator to allow actually playing through a level as a chosen hero, and being able to see how their skills work in practice. No more wondering what a hero's 5* or 6* skills are like before ranking up that far - try it and find out before investing into that hero.
they should release a new character every couple of weeks instead of 5-10 at a time. Those Guardians and Ant-Man updates could have been stretched out. Not saying i'm getting bored.....but
Ha. What I get for not following my own advice on waiting to use the bio converter. We'll see how good blade, gr, if, etc are now but at least I have them 3 starred
I would argue you need some perspective if you think this content pace is poorly paced. The only way anyone is even done with the GOTG content is if they spend like mad. The only way anyone is done with the Ant-Man content if they spend even madder. Alternatively, someone might have completed these characters, but only at the expense of having ignored many, many, MANY other things they could have been working on. I've played since about a week after the official launch and play more of this game than any other game on my iOS gadgets. Earn all dailies every day, spend probably 80% of all energy allotted to me by the natural recharge, 100% of achievement, GM gifts, etc.. I buy the Stark's Stash every month and did buy about $25 worth of 2 for 1 packs in the first couple of weeks to jumpstart things. After nearly 3 months of doing this, my highest GOTG character is 4 stars, my highest Ant-Man character is 3 stars. My highest any character is only 5 stars (and only one of them). While likely spending more than 90% of the players in the game and playing more than 95% of the players in this game I have barely scratched the surface of the launch content let alone the additional content. So, rather than say they should trickle out character releases so people (aka you) don't get bored, maybe you should look at how you approach the game. If you're plowing through and somehow 6 starring all the additional characters within a couple of weeks, you do not represent the typical player in the slightest, so them artificially trickling out the character releases to control *your* behavior is not a design factor that would have ANY widespread appeal.
Well, that was kind of rude. I actually do represent the typical player, as it sounds like you have spent more money than i have. I got Stark's stash when it officially released. I really have no desire to get into an argument or a debate. Was just throwing out my thoughts about my desire to have more characters and/or uniforms. Now i did play this game in soft launch so clearly i was ahead of the curve upon the official release. I have all but 1 character in the game (Angela) and my personal preference is to chase characters. It does get somewhat boring when leveling up all of these characters. But if i could run around in a new Spider-Man costume, leveling would be better; just an example. Don't misunderstand either, I love the game but saying i do not represent the typical player.......I am a typical player, with my opinion for more characters and/or uniforms voiced. Not really sure why you attacked that comment. I just want to mix it up a bit. I want to see longevity to the game.
I keep trying to log in since early this morning ;( Lol! Also caught 100 Spider-man for 1100 last night I pulled the trigger. Any suggestions of my squad? Goliath (giant man), War Machine, and Spidey. Was thinking of possibly fitting Yellowjacket in there since he's "top tier"? Would entice me to buy the 3 pack and that would send Goliath to 5 star.
