Uh doy! Yes, you are correct. I was just focused on Hulk. Although Hulk is hard to get, I do like the Iron Man stuff so Hulkbuster was a huge bonus as well.
I have probably spent more on this game than any other on mobile. Honestly, I never feel bad about it. I do feel bad for being so late to the party. It's really well done, I don't feel like I have to buy the IAP, but they offer enough gimmicks and niceties that I feel like I'm actually getting something for my money. It is probably one of the best IAP models out there, though it's a bit on the pricey side to be honest.
Any tips of guides for somebody starting out? I played a little bit at first, but I'm afraid I might already be messing up how I level my characters. I want to be sure I don't take myself down a bad path anymore than I have to. Also for those who spend, how much do you guys think you spend? I don't mind spending a few dollars here and there, but if a game requires hundreds to be successful, then I might drop this game before I get too invested.
I know I have spent more on this than any other IOS game. Actually maybe even more than my Xbox One games with season passes and all that crap. But at the same time I have played this just as much as AAA console games probably because when I am at work and have breaks and lunches I spend most of my time on it.
I've been playing less than a week so I'm hesitant to give tips. If you're patient you don't need to spend, but it will take longer for you to be competitive in things like Timeline Battles (PvP) or Villian Siege. If you want to be able to buy the occasional whatever in the shop, I highly recommend the $4 package that gives you 400 crystals right away and then 75 a day for 30 days. It's actually the best value going. It may not give you instant riches but is the cheapest way to buy.
1) Farm Giant Man in special stage to 6 star in 1 month 2) War Machine and/or Vision for Blaster (sorry Yellow Jacket, can't work on you until Giantman is 6 star) 3) Spiderman or Green Goblin or Black Widow (uniform + dodge gear) for speed Dump all of your gear/ISO 8 on them, get dodge special gear from Ironfist rift. You beat the game easily. Train some other characters to 3/4 stars for earlier villain siege stages. I spent $6 on two Tony Stark stash's, not even necessary really, I beat all contents now and win 100% of my arena fights without using assists, full auto.
Surely you dont want to bore a player who just started out by playing Giant Man Special Mission consistently for a month? This is a good path to getting a top/high tier team fast, but doesnt sound like a starter guide. On the downside, this kind of guide limits the flexibility that the game provides the players with tons of characters.
Also known as the boring way haha I kid, but really!if you're just starting out I wouldnt recommend limiting yourself to just the "best" heroes! As someone who's working on getting all their characters to at least level 30 (just a few short! And sans my personal favorites who are around 40) This game is pretty awesomely balanced! Really just pick your favourite characters and play away! You can get anyone to level 40 once unlocked! Which honestly a team of any 3 level 40s would beat the game! It is ideal to have characters who's bios are easier to get (since easier bios means faster rank ups which mean faster unlocked skills and eventually lvl 50) the starter heroes are pretty amazing, and for what to spend crystals on, I would recommend saving them till you see a team you really like! I mainly just use them for heroes whose bios I want/can't get easily Random tips: Keep an eye on your all around player level. Once you get close to leveling up, use clear tickets to expunge all your energy! It'll refill upon leveling up! Also try and only use clear tickets when you know you'll be taking a break to get rid of some energy, like right before bed! Depending on how much time you have, play all the elelite missions of characters you want, auto play is great but it will miss breakable which sometimes hide stuff! Fill up your friends list with active people to get assemble points! (I use 500 a day for the 25 energy unlockable, the 1500 extra points are always a back up in case of dimensional rifts and lack of energy) I also try and only use gift energy that expires that day! I haven't run out of energy in....a long time haha The more you play the more stuff will be unlocked also! It's fun!
There's no one true way to play this game. I'm sure that I'm "playing it wrong" in many's eyes, simply because I don't focus that much on single heroes or teams and play with just about all the heroes - they'll all good for something and they're mostly fun. Mostly because there's just no fun in playing Ghost Rider. And Blade. Stick with the original 3 heroes for as long as you possibly can. You'll get them ranked up just by progressing in the story mode. Use them to get you to the Elite stages where you can start unlocking their replacements, then take a deserved pause in storyline progression and focus on bulking up your heroes. The game is meant to be enjoyed over a long run. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Iron Man will be your weak link until he's rank 3. Focus on getting his replacement early on, either Vision or War Machine. They're both considered tier-1 characters throughout the game stages. They can both be acquired early on. (After I unlocked War Machine I lovingly started calling him "little hero that could". Yes, he's that good.) Focus on additional characters you can quickly unlock and that will be improvements on your original 3 for mid game. For Captain America's replacement you'll find Venom to be more than adequate replacement. For Black Widow you'll probably want to get Spider-Man. Their team synergies are great and individually they're fantastic to play with. (Personally, when I unlocked Venom it felt like Christmas came early this year.) Don't rush up the story line too much, or you'll spread yourself too thin and won't have the energy to acquire all the heroes you'll want. Trust me on this. It's good to rush to unlock the Arena. Less so to rush and unlock Villain Siege. You'll likely find VS daunting and aggravating. The former stops after a while, the latter only after you have a significant stable of heroes; there's no worse feeling than running out of heroes when your enemy is down to 1% health. You'll probably want to go and unlock some of the heroes in the Special missions. I can't help you with that, when I started playing we didn't have Special missions. From what I've heard the biometric acquisition rate may be lower in those in the first couple of stages. If you're up for grind for an hour a day that may be a way to go. In Specials a few heroes stand above the rest: Yellow Jacket Giant-Man Ronan Drax Yellow Jacket is great from the get-go. Giant-Man and Ronan I haven't played until I had them at rank 4 and 5 respectively, so I can't help you with those in the early ranks, but I heard that at least Ronan is infuriating to play at lower ranks because of his slow animations. Just remember that the game is all about having fun, not rushing to the end game. Trust me, there's more fun figuring out how to play Rocket Raccoon to take down Doc Oc in VS than there is by just using Vision to obliterate him in 10 seconds. As for the spend: you can easily unlock all the heroes and have them ranked up to 3/4 in reasonable timeframe (3-4 months) without spending a cent. I'd recommend getting Tony Stark's stash every month. Getting 75 crystals daily is a good investment.
IMO, just use who u like. Most teams can clear the current content if leveled & geared decently. No character really goes to waste in this game as they can be used for Villain Siege. Also, don't worry too much about ISO's in the beginning. They are considered kinda late game due to the fact that they are a huge Gold Sink.
So I've done the "grind for Giant-Man bios" on two separate days and I will say that if this was my focus, even for getting him to 6 star, I would get sick of the game. It is really, really grindy. Horrible advice for a new player. There is nothing fun about it. Because I do want to get him to 6 stars and he's the easiest to do it I will probably do this once or twice a week, but no way am I going to dedicate the time. Instead I have been focused on unlocking as many characters as I can. I love the wide cast and especially being able to get War Machine early. He was always one of my favorites.
Grinding special in the start is really grindy and shouldnt be done. First get a team up so you can do #4 specials on auto. Then do them on auto when you do something else like watching tv/surfing the net/playing pc/console games/work
Yeah totally, My go to has been grinding the ant-man special stages at #5 with my lvl 45 War Machine. Ever since about lvl 40 he pretty much solos, so I pair my 2 lowest level characters with him for easy levels. Ill usually have to swap once in the boss fight to regain some health, then swap back, but that's about all the help he needs haha
Wondering if the Fantastic 4 will be coming with the movie release. (sorry if someone already asked) So many more characters/uniforms they can add.....and if x-men ever come...oh boy. Wondering if these releases will be in line for the movies, would really like Dr.Strange, Scarlet Witch, Nemor, She-Hulk.....and the list keeps going
This is situational. Early on, yes, Hulk much harder. Later, Hulk is one of the easiest in the game to accumulate if that's what you want since you can get between 6-9 Hulk bios (or any other Villain Siege bio) daily without any praying to the RNGods. This is why I was so ticked with them pulling Hulkbuster from VS. I had put all my effort into HB since I focused on Iron Mania as my flagship team relatively early on, and then after I was about 40% to 5 stars they yanked it T.T Now I'm stuck with an effectively permanent 4 star HB unless I want to keep buying every HB bio that comes up. I've gone from a scenario where I was about 2-3 weeks from 5 starring Hulkbuster to one where I'm about 1500 crystals and a whole mess of random bio sales in the shop, grrr.... Trying to control myself with the Anger Management team package they have now. 50 HB bios is only half the way I need to go and regular Hulk and red Hulk bios are (for now) easily obtained.
