So i got a Recovery Special Gear (Recovery Rate +78%), and now groot is healing about 15% HP per tick when he uses his heal. My lv40 Groot only with lv6 equips and Lv20 skills completes the Lv40 Ronan special mission at full health when my best-equipped characters cant.
Make sure that you have the set active and showing in the set bonus tab and not just putting on ISO-8 sets based on the set list. That said, i like any of the offensive sets for BW. Power of the Symbiote is a decent start. I dont know why, but Power of the Symbiote is always the first 6-slot ISO-8 set i get, and so i end up using that on most of my characters except the tanky ones.
I never had a character with high enough crit chance to notice this, but it looks like when you crit you only do the damage % of your critical damage, unlike traditional RPG's where the critical damage is added on top of the 100% damage you do. So if you have a character with 125% critical damage (Warmachine), you add a 18% critical rate gear, you are adding 18% * 25% = 4.5% overall damage increase. I thought it would be 18% * 125% = 22.5% damage increase. Dodge seems to work on everything in this game, so 18% dodge would provide you 18% durability, a much better deal.
Which is why 3 of my characters have over 40% ignore dodge. Crit chance is not as viable without crit damage, so i was gonna go with dodge, but i realized that in PVE, my attacks do miss more than a few times, especially some hits in beam attacks or in multihit combos, so getting an ignore dodge special gear made sense to actually increase my total damage output.
Anyone has a high level Nebula with lightning damage increase? Only character with 4 elemental moves, 40-50% special damage increase is crazy. I am not really feeling Ronan universal teams these days. Ronan and Ultron just don't seem that powerful against the likes of Warmachine, Spiderman etc, and even with huge stats increase the team seems to be so-so. My 4-star Warmachine/Spiderman/Vision team easily outperforms my 4-star Ronan/Ultron/Vision team in everything. Kiting hard bosses, clearing mobs, arena full auto performance, you name it. I will probably get Ronan to 5-star then try an elemental character like Nebula. Luke Cage is another character that is a little bit disappointing. Can not kite at all, physical immunity is nice sure, but if I make him leader I lose 20% persistent physical damage buff from Warmachine and physical immunity is not as good as I thought with the amount of energy attacks/characters on popular teams. Maybe I will change Luke Cage to Nebula to complete my RGB team. Or I will wait for his 5 star skill ...
TBH, I haven't used her against other 5*s as she is a bit under-geared ATM. Also, my Ronan pretty much Solos most teams in Arena by himself. IMO, get Ronan to 5* , Stack Skill CD, and he starts to steamroll pretty hard. I dont team him up w/ other Universals at all. I kinda make a 'Super Ronan' Team in which I team him up w/ Heros that Boost him up even more.
One of the most interesting things about Ronan is that he plays pretty well vs Doc Ock in Villain Siege. A quick-release interrupt and a fairly quick fear skill makes for easy hit n runs while the beam deals decent damage when you have an opening.
Wow, he is THAT good? Good to hear! I am only 30+ bios away. At equal gear level, 5 star Ronan can beat other top 1v1 characters like War Machine, Spiderman, Vision? How much -skill CD do you have? Just curious how short is your cooldowns on his first 3 moves. I am a bit torn at the moment on my two teams. I have 4 red star and 9-12 gear on Uniform Warmachine, Uniform Vision, Spiderman, Luke Cage (starting to regret a bit), Black Widow (ditto). I have 3 red star Captain Marvel, no red star Ultron and a lot of points for both. 1) Warmachine, Vision, X - I really believe these two are top 2 characters in the game, I am a little torn between Falcon (have to buy uniform and start farming his bios), Spiderman, Luke Cage (as leader) and Hulkster. I finally got my Hulkster to 3-star and I didn't realize how good his rotation is. It is actually very safe as all of his moves stuns/interrupts and his 3-star move does really good damage. My 4-star Luke Cage can not beat this guy at 4 star. With him as lead, both Warmachine and Vision will get 16%-20% damage increase. However he uses the same token as . . . 2) Ultron, I can get him to 4-star to go with my 4-star Ronan/Vision universal team. Vision is a god in this line-up and if Ronan is as good as you said I am probably safe, or I will wait for the Antman characters and see if there is a better Universal character. I just need some 1v1 assurance on Ultron. I understand he is probably not going to be able to kite a boss like Ronan/Vision, but auto-attack no assist, how competitive is he against other 5-star top tiers? Trying to go all in on an end game team here, it is super expensive!
Ultron is not that good end-game compared to the rest. Any end-game team needs to mention Black Panther. I just got him to 5* and he's already the most powerful character I have in terms of offensive output. He doesn't have the defense that WM and Vision have but his skills hit hard and safe and he's fast enough where you can avoid most attacks anyway. See stats below:
I'm curious on how we determine 'best hero' in Arena or end-game hero? My 5* Iron Man AOU always clear (at least) 2 5* heroes in Arena. Easily manage 4* Journalistic Integrity any day. The only trouble he have is only Vision. Ronan, Ultron, War Machine, Black Panther, even Hawkeye, Widow, AND Spidey (Speed>Blast) still pretty easy to beat. Of course it's autoplay and no assist that we talking about. To add, In PvE, I thinks he's even better. Since team bonus came to play here, I'm in progress to have 'Attack on Ultron' 5* team. With additional Crit Rate 9.6% I can put Crit Dmg booster to Vision and IM, Thor Lightning. + CDT -5% then total CDT is -25% with IM Mastery. So, high crit, high damage, quick reload, what else to ask? Later, with -15% ISO Set, it could take the CDT to -40%. I just feel pity for IM, he didnt have much appreciation in this game. .
IMO, you should just play who you like. Majority of the characters in this game are completely viable. I think there are only a few that are considered pure Trash Tier to the playerbase ie. Ghostrider & Blade. Some characters dont shine till extremely later. Be it *s(Unlock Skills) or Gear. For instance, I thought Nebula was pure garbage at 1* & 2*. Not until she hit 3* did she become decent due to unlocking another Skill.
Yeah.. I've been levelling up all my characters and so far with lv1 skills, only Black Panther at lv 30-ish deals over 30% damage to a Destroyer in Villain Siege which was a very huge surprise. Iron Man is still one of my most favorite characters in this game because of how easy it is to kite all day. On the downside, he sucks in autoplay.
Really sucks on Blade. Liked him from the movies and his Elite stages give red stones... Blargh Even if they added a zero to his heal skill he wouldn't be worth it. I usually throw him at the first Destroyer that shows up in VS and wash my hands of him. The only time I use GR is as a decoy in VS. When ever a laser or barrage has me dead to rights I switch to him, watch him die and switch back to my real fighter.
Maybe CD reduction stacking is more powerful than we thought. Would love to see some 5 red star vs 5 red star auto fight videos of Ironman vs Spiderman, War Machine etc. 5 red stars means well invested.
http://m.cafe.naver.com/futurefight/947661.5 patch coming! 5 new characters. Guild system! Ability to exchange bios! Wow! Netmarbles really stepping it up. Hopefully they will fix arena and make it more competitive on offe nse.
I actually really love Iron Man. He's my first and only Level 45. I'm just saying Black Panther deserves a mention as one of the best end-game. Iron Man's great and better AoE damage but Black Panther's attack and skills are unparalleled (esp. w/his leadership)
