I got Luke Cage after 4 tries. Everything else was abilities. Granted, one of the abilities I got for Drax is making a big difference for me atm. Also, Future Fight owns this game, IMO. I've been enjoying that game for awhile now and play it atleast a little bit everyday. Can't say that about too many other F2P games. (FF Record Keeper is another one I play alot)
Don't worry about that. It is very easy to rank up characters to the next star level. Everyone can go to the maximum level. Where you start with them honestly barely makes a difference as the star level really doesn't matter until level 20 or so.
Lost like 50+ energy to random crashes right as I click the mission start button. Really really irritating.
After getting Luke Cage to 10, I started playing around with the starring up system. I actually like how it works. This game will be a slow growth, but I like that there is stuff to work on.
The recharge time for scouting mission energy is two hours each. Two freaking hours and it takes twelve energy for one mission. I've got four heroes needing only scout mission supplies to rank up and I cannot beat the mission I'm on stuck at this level. I cannot believe how long the timer is for these while the acquisition rate is so incredibly low and the use rate is incredibly high. It's like they are just asking me to delete the game. Don't punish me because I am efficiently running through the game and cannot beat missions with a six+ level difficulty difference only because the game is not allowing me to level. I just cannot fathom how stupid this is. Heck I'm on a 10+ win streak in PvP and I just don't want to go further because I'm going to get out leveled by people with more money. Hate this crap. Edit: Commander leveling doesn't even refill scouting either. I just can't even...
Done with this game. Bad timers, awful pacing, lost my 15 plus win streak in PvP to a team that I literally grazed or missed 100% of the shots I got when wasp wasn't attacking 3+ times per turn with either an infinite defense or a constant all attack. Have completed 30 missions+ and have never gotten a single ability or character power cell or gold from the end so that's clearly rigged to give you those god awful red cells that are useless since one star abilities are incredibly cheap. Scouting/research is the worst aspect by far with the timer being forever and the item cost just ridiculous. I tried very hard to like this game but it feels like it wants me to just give up or pay money which I won't do for a game where one character is apparently worth $8 if you translate it to gold values which they decide Tl;dr: just don't bother with this one
PVP rank 4 achieved, 24 days to go. Haha. Angela, Ant-Man and Black Widow is a heck of a murder machine.
Original Black Widow. Ballerina is the move you want - the others don't matter one bit. AOE that does extreme damage based on the difference between her speed compared to the opponents. She can typically take out over half health from the whole team, sometimes more. Angela's Impetuous Cleave is incredibly powerful and accurate, and allows for an instant free turn if you KO the opponent. So kill, free turn, kill, free turn, kill. Ant-Man is a great utility fighter if the enemy survives my big guns and works as very good clean up. Plus he excels at defeating Wasp, who is all over PVP.
Just out of curiosity, after reading thru the thread so far, does anyone think getting the spidey starter pack is worth it? 2nd Q - is Hawkeye worth using the resources to rank to level 10? I have a lvl 9 Wasp, Vision (who I won't be doing anything with), Black Widow, Iron Fist, and am waiting on day 5 of 7 to pick an Avenger, which I'm 99% sure will be Cap, just seeing how badly he kicks my @$$ in PvP. So far all 1 star heroes only.
I wouldn't buy the Spider-Man pack, unless you're desperate to have him. I mean, he's definitely in my top 5 super heroes, but most people don't think he has enough "synergy." I picked Black Widow this morning, for some reason. I guess because I've been using Luke Cage, Hawkeye, and Spider Woman, plus I have AoU Thor (I'm not going to get a second Thor by choice), but I don't love my Vision - another Infiltrator. As soon as I selected her, I was like, hmm, am I going to regret not picking Cap? Probably. Oh well. And it's good to be back playing AA. You all may have forgotten me because I dropped out so long ago, but I played the Facebook version from day one, then eventually abandoned that and joined y'all in the mobile version. But here I am - I quit Clash Royale for this (not that they are mutually exclusive, but I can only handle one addiction at a time, and the Avengers are always going to win out).
My Spider-Man just hit level 30/3-stars. I'll take him for a spin shortly. I have seen some amazing things done with him, especially if match lasts more than 2 rounds. His Spider Power increases and he becomes incredibly strong. That said, I would never spend money on something I could get by being patient - and if you wait, you'll get him eventually.
Thx for the advice guys. I'm still on the fence....I keep thinking about the comment made early in this thread about being a part of the beta to get all the goodies before the game is changed, and it makes me wonder how the gane has changed and how difficult it may be to obtain heroes now as compared to when the game came out initially.
You earn heroes through buying (or earning) a Superior Cell, which can be earned via quests, missions, rewards, PVP, etc. When you open a Superior Cell (25 gold to buy one, btw) you have a random chance at unlocking a hero OR gaining a skill for a hero you already have. None of that has changed through the beta. So, getting heroes isn't hard if you play the game. Every time you complete a mission, you have a chance at 25 gold or a Superior Cell. You can get 5 gold per day from daily quests. You earn gold, Superior Cells and exclusive characters via Chapter-specific quests. You'll get a hero, a Superior Cell and 50 gold from the top rank of PVP (which isn't hard to achieve). Etc. Earning gold and getting heroes is not hard if you're patient, skilled and play the game. This is to remind readers that this is not a hero-collecting app like Galaxy of Heroes, Contest of Champions or Future Fight, which require little skill to play and hand out rewards quickly and constantly to keep the dopamine flowing.
