I mean, I hear what you're saying, but this is still a hero-collecting app. Way more strategy and better gameplay for sure, IMO, but the hero collecting is still a part of it. I've abandoned trying to get new heroes for the moment. I'm using gold for scouting, but I'll eventually switch back. My Luke Cage and Hawkeye are at 2 stars now, and I'm working on Spider-Woman. Black Widow already having 3 stars was super helpful. Hopelessly addicted.
I must say I am enjoying the quality of the game but there's just something about it that's not as good as the first one

Jeritux, agreed....hopelessly addicted # JC, I've been thinking about what made the 1st have that "edge", and I think it's the lack of gear and weapons to be earned in this one. This is a different approach, but I think in the long run, this will be a better system once more heroes are added.
So how do we get the 3 star abilities for our heroes? They're not purchasable, so I'm suspecting beating a high level mission or something? (Like an epic boss fight or something)
Every ability is purchasable and upgradable. Go to the Abilities tab under your hero and you can buy any you don't have. Upgrade abilities you have under the Trials tab.

Frustrated by the frequent crashes that occur when starting new matches, which still consume energy. Especially frustrating when it occurs during scouting. Otherwise, great collectible battler; nice tactical layer for a casual FTP game.
Yeah, it's a pain, but I definitely recommend force closing the app before every scouting round. And don't do anything after you start it before scouting. Prep your team before you force close.
I lost a 7-win PVP streak because of a crash. Same exact problem that MAA1 had on iOS. You had to restart the app before epic boss fights, PVP, opening certain chests, etc. I'm pretty sure they're sharing code with that game. Either that or they never fired the person who wasn't good enough to fix it the first time and they made the same mistake again.
Damn, that sucks. I've only experienced one crash with this game so far, but now ya'll got me paranoid. My game crashed while I was buying unstable iso8 in the store. I'm on an ipod touch 6th gen btw. On a side note, I just realized I had it set to "Low" graphics setting this whole time. Wow what a difference it is when set to "High"! I'm glad I noticed. -.-
Well I got my 3* Cap for the day 7 reward and I'm pleased with him as a permanent addition. But I have to say, I just played against a Black Widow (comic) and 1st move of the match was her kick......W....T....F!
Yes you hit the nail on the head!! I've been playing it a lot more the past couple days and I'm starting to enjoy it more but I do miss the weapons and agent mechanic.
Wonder why they had to go with iOS 9 on this one when all of the other Marvel games can easily work on iOS 8. Wanted to give it a shot, but not at the cost of losing the ability to play Monster Hunter!
Gold does come very easy. I'm at 155 gold with nothing to spend it on. Give it time and you'll be rich!
I felt the same way right after getting my Cap 3* too lol Cap is awesome tho. His "Soaring Eagle" 3* ability is really great btw if ya haven't bought it with alliance points yet. It hits 3 times and then both of the other party members each get a free attack to follow it up immediately. ## I recommend. /siiigh almost time to start farming for the lv20 breaking items. My Cap, Hank Pym, and Drax are all lv17 going on 18 atm. Just got a 2* Star-Lord before that I should probably get the lv10 items for.
Don't run smoothly The game doesn't run smoothly. I have played Marvel (Champions game) that is far better in loading.
