Awesome – thanks so much! Yes, definitely re:iPad version. We're working on it, trying to get it right.

A few reviewers (~3-4 from big sites unfortunately) said the game is too hard. Two used the word imprecise, though I think they mean too precise. I'm curious of your opinion about the difficulty. What do you think?

Also – what do you think about making an easy mode and a hard mode for the game? Easy mode wouldn't have the shot limit (and different scoring). Hard mode would be as it is currently.

I have been following your progress on TIGsource, just curious to know how the new and noteworthy feature affected your download numbers? Did you see a huge spike?

I would not say its to hard but maybe being able to complete the course under par would be more rewarding.

It might be an idea to include some of the dynamics and more complicated bits of the game in the free part. Showing off that the game does get more depth latter on.

Our first game that I spent about 3 weeks part time on is a little bit similar. It's free it might be worth talking a look, basically the less you hit to ball to get to the goal the more you score

Search for ReCOIL SE On the AppStore.

It's far more basic but might give you other ideas on scoring

We did see a big spike, although I'm sure it would have been bigger if it were New and Noteworthy in the US. The days we were in New and Noteworthy we had around 1000-1500 downloads per day. You should note that the app is free to download.

Took a look at ReCOIL – love the lighting + art style.

I hear you about showing off more of the game early on. It's a little tough because a lot of the depth is only really possible once you've got the interaction down.

At one point we did consider this type of scoring... I assume you mean being able to complete the course over par?

We heard that comment from someone in our beta testing but kind of forgot about it. It's good to be reminded of it (even if not extending it all the way, at least making it wider). Thanks for the feedback – it's a good suggestion.

Well done hope it helps, I will update my review on the uk AppStore as you have updated

I did notice your only 1 star review in the American AppStore breaking your 57 five star reviews. It seemed to be the most malicious AppStore review I've ever seen. Well at least you have updated so it won't bee seen by anybody now.

Thanks – I appreciate it. I don't really think it will do much at all in terms of traffic from Jayisgames... but hopefully it's something we can use it to get people's attention (reviewers, promotions, etc).

I hear you about that malicious review. There's always going to be one. In a way, it was almost a relief... some people were suggesting we bought those reviews. At least he said "developers will call this a piece of art" ;) ... and 57 in a row is good enough for me :)

I did notice that Worst Review thread. Maybe I'll add it there.

  11. Congratulations on the award! Jayisgames is a solid site too so it's a meaningful one.

I remember when we launched RoboHero after running a successful kickstarter that people were accusing us of buying reviews because we got so many good ones so quickly.

Pretty ridiculous, considering we spent 6 months building up a fan base who were waiting for the game to break. Trolls gonna troll.

Congrats on the reward! That's outstanding!

Hey feedtank, congrats on the award!

Looks like you guys were featured on AppGratis. How did that affect your download/IAP numbers? I've been hearing great things about AppGratis.
