We are trying to get it working on all devices. That being said it may not be possible without significantly reducing viewing distance on older devices.
that'll be okay as long as u can use it on older devices... im sick and tired of all these awesome games only avaiable for new devices thanks and nice work.
Instabuy, I've said it before, I'll day it again, and probably a couple times after this. You guys are awesome, and in my opinion are doing a great job! When this game gets closer to release you should advertise it on minecraft forums. Edit: Woohoo! World Explorer update. XD Edit: No surprise, fail update!
OMG YES!!! This app will TEAR through the app store. EDIT: And please Instabuy games, learn from the blatant mistakes of Eden and Minecraft world explorer!
This looks pretty good. It'd be nice to have a good Minecraft-inspired iDevice game. I wish the devs luck!
Could you be more specific about what mistakes? In fact I'd like to know from all of you what you didn't like about these two other games so I can do my best to avoid it.
No day/night cycles, no multiplayer, no creeps, no crafting, no wildlife, no mineral/item collecting. Long loading time, view too low down, no fluid dynamics. Does that help?
I don't however want that to slow the production of this game as I have been watching from the sidelines from the beginning
How i said, in Eden the Caves are too big and not really randomized (Each cave looks like the other and there are not underground tunnels). Because that mining is really boring. Otherwise this app is all right. In World Explorer there are not many materials to use. The Worlds are not endless (after a few metres there is a big wall) and not randomized. greetings from germany
Eden Pros: Caves, no lag, nice looking textures, fire and TNT, world sharing, concept. Cons: No fluids (water/lava/whatever), lack of unique blocks (legitimate glass would be nice), caves are boring, inability to build floating stuff or bridges (possible but pretty hard) Minecraft World Explorer Pros: Cool concept, water, nice graphics, randomized caves, nice materials. Cons: Buggy, crashes, limited map size, TNT doesn't explode, controls are fickle, gets really dark in caves (they said they added torches, I don't see where), no day/night, you can't jump and place blocks underneath you very well. Yeah, that's pretty much it. As long as the game is entertaining, and not buggy, you got my buy. But of course, by all means, feel free to exceed my expectations, the game looks great, no amazing, so far!
I think this app will be the best app on the app store if it has: animals roaming the land weapon(s) like in minecraft doors that you can open and close lots of different kinds of blocks no lag while playing like in Eden
Haha you need to send me a message when it gets out can't wait to play a minecraft likely game that actually has online mode you just made me smile on a boring day
Well, knowing that the team behind minecraft will be bringing a minecraft app to the app store, I suggest you do something to radically differ from minecraft. Different items to craft, magic for sure, things that minecraft currently doesn't have but could benefit from having would be the best course of action.
