Also I like the blocky type trees. If they were different they would ruin the ambience of the blocky genre.

No It doesn't. The only similarity is the voxel engine and textures. There is only inspiration involved.
Trees will be blocky. I am trying to make it a universal app (3g touch and up, as long as I dont run into any issues). TakenXXDeadly, I have been inspired by minecraft, which is why it looks similar, but at the same time I am trying to make this as different as possible. Mana is going to be very prominent in the game and while you can dig with a pickaxe you probably won't for long. Also the world which looks similar to minecraft is only one of the worlds in the game.

Guys, you could sorta be like Bolt Creative, and make episodes and include new features in those episodes. Or you could do what I said without episodes, and just updating it.
Thats a bit like minecraft.... But i think that the problem is that they are scared to drop on the market a half-done product (trust me i am trying to do a game in this genre and this is the main problem with randomly generated open world)
