The controls still need work (and havn't really changed since the first video) I do plan on changing them. As I stated this is still a work in progress and many things will change before release.
Do you have an option to change the clarity of the movement pad? I mean like that changes the depth of it.
I'd love to be able to use the entire non-button screen real estate for moving and looking (half move half look). Maybe that's what he meant?
I mean a setting that can change how dark the movement pad is, but changing the size would also be a very good idea.
Wow, well this is awesome, after being very annoyed that Minecraft was going to be an Xperia Play exclusive for a set period of time I decided to look about and see if anything similar to Minecraft was coming out on IOS, then I found this....and now I have to change my underwear. This looks amazing, I know you must have been asked this a million times, but any rough idea on when we can expect this? I dont usually buy games when they first come out, I'm normally happy to wait until there is a sale or something, but for me this is an insta-buy on day one of release. I saw there are a couple of Minecraft-style games already out, but they are poorly implemented and arent very fun to play. I think this is mainly due to the fact the developers just wanted to get a Minecraft clone out on IOS to cash in on the popularity. I dont get this feeling with your game at all, I love the little differences and extras you are doing, I think this will make your game different enough from Minecraft where fans can enjoy both equally and not see them as rivals. I look forward to seeing this progress and eagerly await release
That's exactly what all of us have in common They've spent a large amount of time on this game. I can see you've been here quite a while, but haven't posted much. Welcome, anyway
Thanks, yeah I'm a 'long time listener, first time caller' lol I check the forums here every day but I only really comment on things every now and again. This game definitely deserved my time and attention I really cant wait for this to release, I have Minecraft and I love it but i'm running it on a kinda crappy laptop so I have to turn all the graphics etc. down and even then it sometimes lags to the point where I have to stop playing and wait for my laptop to sort itself out :/ Having something like this on my Ipod Touch will be fantastic, I never get any lag issues with any games I play on IOS. And like I said in my first comment I really like the little differences that are being put into this game, eg. Magic, this looks like an awesome way of gathering resources quickly or making vast caverns. It really is games like this that put some of the big developers to shame, and proves the point that gameplay is ALWAYS much more important than graphics. Unfortunately some companies still dont get that concept lol
I think he means opacity of the pads. Anyways, great video! Lighting definitely looks much nicer now! A few things I noticed: 1) I'm guessing player damage hasn't been implemented yet. 2) It looks like you have to get really close to pick up items. 3) At the end of the video, when you were walking up the stairs, your wand seemed to turn white. Anyways, dungeons look great! Good job with the video!
Yeah..... welcome!!!!!!!! Um anyway your right as soon as it comes out I'm going to purchase the crap out of it
I second this. Why waste screen estate with control sticks when we know where to touch anyway? One thumb goes on the left, one on the right. No need for graphics if the controls are free moving depending on where the user touches.
We will have many options for controls. Half/half of the screen (one move, one look), fixed visible joysticks (like in some of the early screenshots) and the ability to adjust their opacity. As for the videos and the screenshots we've kept them off mostly to conserve on screen real estate. As for the wand turning white, that effect was achieved by our camera trying to adjust itself to the amount of light coming from the phone. I'll try to find a way to shut that off next time
