I have 2 ideas. 1: A name: manasphere 2:Towns, castle etc For number 2 I think towns should have several features. Towns should sell items and spells. You can join a town and get a house there and participate in town activities. These include holidays like thanksgiving where your health regenerates all day and Christmas which comes once every 100 days or so. On Christmas you will get 1 or 2 rare Christmas only items. Another town or castle activity is war. Towns will go to war to gain more land and better items. The war will end when every creature in the rival town or castle is dead. You will get coins for participating in a war. These will let you buy items from shops in towns. Enemies will also drop some coins but not as many as you get from war.
Me either, there are so many other rpg's out there but this game is very unique and looks amazing. Turning it into an other rpg would just be a shame.
Usually an RPG has leveling (which gives a gamer the turn off because it leads to grinding to get levels), and has more of a focus on combat.
May be a stupid idea but... What about you can find oil while mining, which can be used to power machines which help transport or mining.
I also agree that it being an rpg would be stupid but I like the idea of castles - maybe abandoned castles with no one inside apart from creatures and when you get to the top there is a spell or something (ofcoarse these castles would have to be very rare )
I am not looking to turn this into an rpg. I was just thinking that Towns and Castles might be interesting. If nobody wants npcs thats fine with me. How will quests work without npcs?
I actually quite like the level up gameplay mechanic. Gives players something to aim for besides the main game. It also provides developers a way to include an evolutionary system where every level feels like your character is growing with the player.
My idea is that towns would be a safe haven in-between quests and war. It would have shops and a house for you. It would expand over time and as it does so gain more inhabitants , shops, and people to get quests from. I have never said anything about RPG's. Like Scarecrow219 said I have an app for that already.
All this stuff sounds great, but will there be things like stairs, doors, fences, etc.? Because with out stuff like these than every thing looks too un realistic, kinda like eden because it only has blocks, not doors etc.
You guys aren't getting the point of a survival sandbox game. You can do anything you want, build anything you want, wherever you want, with quests in between. How exactly would a town work in a game like that?
