Hm... I think that the ants as a mob could work out pretty well! There could be large randomly generated ant hills in which they would spawn in.They could also wander around and gather resources or something to bring back to their hills, although that may be hard to program.. I'm also thinking that ( the normal, black ants ) should be docile unless you intrude in their territory. Well, thats all for now :p

MinecraftAddict: I don't know about the ant idea, but the pitfall idea is dope (excellent).

I wish there would be trapdoors too.

    :D

Please release this soon. This is by far the best minecraft-esque iOS game I've ever seen, and it looks like it has unique features of its own, too.

I was thinking maybe they can have the ability to overpower you. Maybe some times they travel in swarms. Also, they could raid your food? Just like in real life? Anyway, they may be hard to program, but it would be amazing!

I think natural disasters will take the cake if they're implemented.

    OHMY GODZ
A METEORITE WOULD BE SO AMAZING
it would be really cool if when it hit against the ground it exploded and created a pit and then a special mob would come out of it !!!

There could be small meteorites that do that, and big ones that turn a wide area into a nuclear waste land. (Pollution of water, land, mob mutation...)

Probably there should be a "Pollute" spell that does this in small quantities too.

There should really be sink holes that go down to bed rock. (http://www.popsci.com/files/imagecache/article_image_large/articles/sinkhole.jpg )

What would be even better is if people could turn on/off natural disasters in the menu. (Probably we can select intesity/frequency :)) ANd obviously the crazier ones should be rarer.

Sorry for the gap in responsiveness there. I've been working hard on the game :) and taxes :(

I love all the suggestions! Although please keep in mind that this is a mobile device and that some disasters are not exactly possible to do realtime on the device.
Mini meteorites maybe, because the impact crater cant be too large, there would be too much to calculate. The sinkhole idea I like. Maybe have a top layer that falls like sand when you step on it. Either that or we just generate them as a feature of the land (ie its always a hole). Now about it going down to the bedrock. I'm still not sure I'm going to have bedrock. I've been working on making the world deeper, a lot deeper. It needs to be deep in order to contain the dungeons that are going to exist below the surface. The depth used to be 255 block. Now to contain the dungeons I figure I need at least 1000-2000 blocks. But currently the way I've programmed it you can go as far down as you like (roughly 2 million blocks). If I keep it almost bottomless I'll never need bedrock but if I limit it to 1000-2000, I would. Whats do you think the depth should be? Limited or virtually unlimited?

Limited I would think, otherwise numpties like me would just continue to dig down believing it's an amazing idea then get bored to tears having to go back to the surface... Unless... Only when mobs weren't around, and you were safe, you could have a 'warp to home' in the menu for such eventualities.

Freedom is nice, but you need boundaries!

The teleport spell works by setting waypoints.
