If you buy the iPad version (our preferred one), we'll gift you the iPhone version for free. We looked at making the app universal, but there were just a bunch of reasons it didn't work well, so we kept them separate.
Nice new update, I'm glad to have a reason to keep playing on, new levels and getting to do the hardcore flags over again.
After the update, couple of more yellow rare cards turn into orange and purple color respectively, is that normal. Is there a color code chart for rarity? Here is my guess. White->Orange->Green->Purple->Yellow.
I breezed thru Master difficulty of the new 'level' but when I tried the hardest (flaming) levels, wow, I got raped. Good job devs. Now I am challenged!
Hi, Arnold -- yeah, we changed how rare/effective some cards were, which adjusted how their colors show up. You're correct on the colors; we've also added a new black/stars border that comes after gold, and allowed cards to be enhanced even further.
Ah, good! Yeah, we made sure we could eventually get through the levels, but I haven't yet finished them all on Master (well, I did on my "cheat" account, but that doesn't count).
Two Favors Hi, all! Hey, if you get a chance to play the 1.3 update, we had a favor for us, and a favor for you guys, if you want it. First -- on the main accounts screen, up in the top left, you'll now see a simplified envelope icon. If you tap it, it should let you send us an e-mail from within the game, with a big long code number. If you send us that, it'll let us identify your game in the system, with the intention of being able to send free gems for when things go wrong, or just as a general thank-you. We've tested it with our own devices, of course, but haven't completely verified that it works. So, my thought was that if anyone from the forums wants to try using that, just put a "Hi! It's XYZ from the TouchArcade forums!" note in the e-mail, and I'll try to send you a batch of gems as a thank you for all the help and suggestions you guys have done. That'll let us test the system, and get you guys something as well. The second favor is -- if you do like the 1.3 patch, and you get a moment, would you mind re-rating it on the App Store? Even if you only give it a 3-star rating, that's okay. Every time we put out a patch, the game reverts to saying, "There are not enough ratings to show for this game yet," which makes it less likely the people will download it. If you've rated it before, it should just let you hit the "Okay" button to re-submit your rating and/or review ... if you're able to do that, it *really* helps us so that people know the game is good! Glad the update is finally live (iPad) Somehow, I seemed to have lost some cards. Not sure if it was due to my deck size being to large after the balancing. I know I had to remove about 5 cards. After that I noticed some of my orange tower cards were gone. Not a big deal though, I'll get more I tried the prestige level near the end(forgot the name) I get towards the end and it becomes a slide show. Next thing I know, it says defeat. I tried it twice and same thing. I'm on a mini with retina. I think there are just too many mobs. I'll try to reboot and give it another go tomorrow.(rebooted iPad and fixed)
Losing cards is definitely not good! One possibility is that some cards changed both color and name ... for example, we used to have two versions of "Nearsighted" -- a weak and a strong one. Now they split into "Nearsighted" and "Nearly Blind" or something. Hopefully it's just that, and not that the cards are actually gone. If you get a chance to take a screenshot of the level that slows down to a slideshow, let us know! We thought we fixed any case that would make things super slow, but it sounds like you've found one we missed.
i don't really suspect nefarious intent but I'm not giving you a link to my device. Notifications are off anyway. But moving on, I take it expanded Help did not make it to this update? Also, how are most people getting all these rare cards you keep talking about? Are you making them? I don't seem to have enough spare cards to combine in hopes of getting a better one. Is the game giving them to you for winning? Are you buying them? Just curious as I've never seen purple, gold, or black/ stars. oh, re-rated the game plus thanks for the update!
What I did is to buy and sell cards from the shop. In a way, you can get more from selling the cards you bought than the cost of the actual pack, well at least for the previous patch. Not sure if the devs tweaked it now. Then merge cards as needed.
No nefarious intent. The value is just a random number that the game uses like a Post Office Box. The first time, it says, "Please use address 123 for me!" Then, later, it asks, "Are there any new gems for address 123?" and it can get gems that way. No more nefarious than the Game Center ID, Apple ID, MAC address, IP Address, and lots of other codes that already link back to your device, at any rate.
I don't see any update for the pocket edition. I am still waiting for the update that fixes the orange cap on certain cards, and haven't played in a couple weeks. Why are people saying the update is out?
Game Center ID - turned off Apple ID - can't get around it MAC address - hardware only IP Address - this is dynamic nothing personal tom, but in this age of rampant misuse of personal information i try to minimize my exposure.
Sorry Art, ipad version just came out. I always forget this is the pocket thread. I should have stated the update I got was ipad. On a separate note, loving the new cards and levels. The prestige levels are a challenge. I had to redo my deck in order to beat them on Master. Still have one more to complete. The far left one (Pristine Ford). I had to do it on normal. I like the new remove cards mechanic. I mean I hate it but love it those new fire wing birds are nasty as well! Very cool though. New foil look on high end cards is awesome. I like that we can only use 2 money bags regardless of card rarity
my typical "huh?" question. i saw prestige levels mentioned before and thought i'd go into the game and see Easy, Normal, Master, Prestige, but no. you say levels (plural) so it can't mean your character level (as in level 1, level 2, level prestige) and speaking of level, at the game intro there is a 7 in the upper left of my player card. i presume that means i'm level 7? in terms of the single player game, does that mean anything or is it only for multiplayer? and again, what is a "prestige level" or what are "prestige levels"? thanks!
I totally understand. The sad fact is that any iOS game you have doesn't need your consent to send that kind of thing ... if you think of it, we could just send the number regardless of whether you clicked the e-mail link. That's actually one of the good things about Apple's "walled garden" approach -- they do a lot more checking than on the Android platform to make sure that developers *aren't* actually stealing information from within your apps. Regardless, as I said, that information is only there so that we can help people when they need it -- don't use it, and nothing will come to us.
