I'm in. I've done a lot of Photoshop style stuff, so that might work. What are the dimensions of the icon again?
I guess make it fit for a Twitter icon. I'm pretty sure the AppStore icons and twitter icons are the same size. Many people are entering but that's not rush...
Also just a tip: don't use the minecraft block as a background for your final icon, because that's what Minecraft Pocket Edition's icon is...
I'm assuming this is what you wanted, I added a watermark (The "By Donovan1209" part) just in case I win and don't get the gift card, I have the final one without the watermark saved on my PC. I'll give you that one if I win.
App Store Icon Dimensions The App store Icon needs to be done up at 512 pixels x 512 pixels in RGB colour. There are a few good templates online. Try the one below if you need one. http://blog.cocoia.com/2010/iphone-ipad-icon-psd-template/ Once finished to add the icon into the app you will need to save them out at the following sizes. 512 x 512 114 x 114 72 x 72 58 x 58 57 x 57 56 x 56 50 x 50 29 x 29 The best icons work at the really small sizes, so view it at the 29 x 29 and see if you can still tell if it works. Try not to make them too detailed. Another good trick is to screen grab the iTunes store Top paid list, and drop your icon in and see if people can pick it out, and if it stands up in quality against the rest.
I just PMed my icon. Let me know what you think! Thanks! Also, I don't think you should use the stock Minecraft block. That's way too cheesy and will get you some bad press. Just make it from scratch.

Can one submit more than one icon? Do we have to use the block provided on the OP as our background for the icon?
