Sounds like my kind of game, too bad I'll never play it because of the controls. It's a shame too because I'm the kind of guy who usually buys some type of IAP to support the dev. This is the first time I've ever seen a dev on these forums flat out refusing to make a change to please players. Craziness. @ Dev- not everyone wants to be moving their phone around to play a game, ESPECIALLY in public. To not add normal touch controls is straight up ridiculous.
Dang. This game actually looks like it would be good, if it wasn't for the controls. Guess I'll pass on this one.
Hi Thanks for your opinions. As I said before it is not a game for everyone. We want to create real life shooting experience and we don't like other controls than gyro, as they have nothing to do with real shooting. Maybe you can go to the shooting range and try I tried many games with gyroscope and they can't control this in right way! Our control of gyroscope is perfect. Just practice a little and you will be master! Your reaction and physical strange will improve Cheers, Tomek p.s. Update is waiting for approval. Some of us hate gyro controls like myself. Why can't you make the controls similar to Time Crisis 2ND Strike or Bravo Last Stand? Please consider making the game playable for people who can't stand gyro controls.
I can kinda see why the dev is not changing his mind. Seen this before with some other games. Sine Mora i was one of the people wanting relative touch controls (when other people were happy with the way it was). Fair play to the dev for wanting to keep that control scheme but if you want more sales then its always a good option to add an alternative control scheme so you please all camps
If the dev is so in love with the gyro controls then why is it too much to ask for a measly calibration option? At least let us have the device at whatever angle we want, holding it straight vertical is ridiculous. I can't imagine ANYONE is ok with that being the only way to play the game. I like to play games with the iPhone down near my lap facing me, at a 45 degree angle, not straight up in front of my face looking like an idiot...
Making this game for everyone would only increase your revenue, so why not give the option? Gyro is a fun gimmick from time to time but that's it.
Pfffffffff, PATHETIC. DELETED, losers... And one last sentiment, ur gyroscope is a million miles from perfect. If tht's what u deem perfect, I'd straight hang it up as a game dev. Games aren't about what u like, it's about what the player wants. U seriously have the mentality of child. U have no business acumen. Mayb one of the big car makers will start making cars no one wants to drive, tht oughta bolster sales. Btw, are u literally like 10 yrs old? Strictly based on ur stubborn ignorance or laziness. Once more, plain and straight pathetic. +1 for narrow mindedness, cheers.
I haven't deleted a game this fast in a while. The gyro controls are atrocious. And yes, at the very least let us calibrate the thing. Game would be so much fun if it had a control scheme like Robocop/Frontline Commando.
One more thing, let u in on a secret, shooting mechanics in a game have absolutely NOTHING to do with real world shooting. Major F.A.I.L.
Yes,not game for everyone but I think too hard gyroscope and whit normal control is more playable and easy ....easy no buy iap ..this game is owersome and i think you can add new control and up the difficul if this is the problem...
Umm... I don't want to be using the gyroscope controls while waiting in a line, or just out in public in general. Seems awkward lol. Touch controls please
Hi Major G.U.N is now featured in U.S. Appstore front page Best New Games Thanks Apple I guess they like our gyro steering Cheers, Tomek
Before I respond to the overwhelming cacophony of whining, I just want to say that this a very fun game. The cell shaded visuals are great, as is the variety of locations and routes through the maze. All of this makes for a very fun shooting gallery, a la Time Crisis and it's ilk. Thanks for a good game and keep at it. Now to the critics in the forum thread... I enjoy the gyro controls, because it is fairly accurate on my iPhone 5. Honestly, I don't get all the internet rage, whining about not getting what you want. Yes, I too would like a calibration option, but the game is playable and quite fun as it is. The crash issue has already been patched. IAP's can be a real pain, for sure, but there is no "grind" in this game to enjoy the content. The unlocks are unnecessary and don't add THAT much (if anything) to the game. Your sense of achievement should be based on your score, kills, and level progression, not how many new items you unlock (unlike what CoD would have you believe). Some features I'd like to see in the future (near to long term, respectively): 1) Player stats: time played, accuracy with each weapon, number of kills by type, number of kills for each boss, etc. 2) Crosshair calibration: including location and scroll speed 3) Ability to earn Eagles in the leveling system, or through competing other challenges. 4) Add-ons for the primary weapon (pistol): damage, extended magazine 5) More diversity in enemy types, including weapons or armor, or even just visually. 6) More diversity in locations: Urban jungle or corporate complex, instead of just industrial area. 7) A zoom or scope function These are all just ideas, and I have no clue as to how feasible any would be, but just things to consider. One more recommendation for the dev, don't flame the critics in the forums by implying that Apple endorsed your control scheme when your game was featured. This is neither evidence of such an endorsement, nor that the criticisms are less meritorious.
I understand a creator being so in love with his own vision that he isn't willing to be more flexible and give to fans something they want. However, history shows this does more harm than good, business wise. It's just an option. It wouldn't compromise the vision. More options are always a good thing, if that's what the players want.
I like the game. The gyro controls are growing on me. The gyro controls are polished. I just want the option for touch controls. That's all.
I respect dev's decision to not respect players who will pay to play their game. Nevermind.. There are only 300.000 games on the app store..
