Will different magnets have different abilities (i.e. quicker speeds) and will there be power-ups like shields or block blasters? Loving this game so far!

This reminds me of SHREDD (aka dEXTRIS) which I loved, only this is way harder because of the dual challenge of avoiding obstacles and keeping your magnets from touching at the same time. It's no joke. Is it possible to earn gems other than through gameplay? If it's gameplay only...it is going to be difficult to unlock magnets! After playing for about 20 minutes, I have a high score of 18 and have collected 25 gems. If you like a tough twitch challenge, Magnets could be your thing.
