Like you can imply the trailer, it takes Slingshot Racing's tried-and-true mechanic and makes it better. Yes, I think this game really improves on that already great control scheme. It's fun, varied, and challenging. Each color zone offers a different node mechanic: blue is your usual arcing slingshot, purple node act like grapple hooks and pull you towards them, and yellow nodes act as portals/teleporters. Soon you'll be dealing with levels that throw all three at you Combine that evolved mechanic with the puzzle-like gameplay, twitchy arcade action, and a nice amount of levels with no IAP, and that makes Magnetized a game that should not be overlooked. I'd like if you were able to get the death count down by replaying, ie on level three I died ten times, but I went back and played and only died three but it still keepes the ten as my death count for it. That's just a tiny niggle though. I'm on over fifty deaths at the moment lol. My biggest issue is that I cannot control which magnets get activated. It is based on whichever is closest but that is hard to judge and nearly all of my deaths in later levels were due to it activating the one I didn't intend. Also I found the cyan magnet difficult to use. I wish it was more like Slingshot Racer with a consistent arc. Most of the music is nice but I had to turn it off in world 3. Way too repetitive. On the plus side I loved the graphics style and a few levels had some nice puzzle elements.
