The gear's different attributes protect u from environmental hazards. The fire gear allows u to b unharmed by the flames. Air gear protects u from the blades and spikes. Not certain what the earth and others do tho.

Actually the fire gear protects you against lava and fire, but it doesn't include thrown fireballs which harm you by the blow that they provoke.

Earth has as characteristic strong "tanker" attributes and they'll help you reach some spots you normally won't be able to. But you'll find out during the game :)

Darkness sets are usually good for high damage, but little environmental advantages.

After an intense final boss battle i'm "hanging on a cliff"...looking forward to chapter 4!

This game came out of nowhere for me, and it's my GOTW.

PS: i never like having no clue how many hits the bosses need. I always appreciate an indicator, or did i miss that in the heat of the action?

The first two bosses get redder as they are dying, so it is a bit easier to tell. You can tell Chapter 3's boss is closer to an end when he fires way quicker than he originally did and you'll also see more lighting strikes. Still though, I agree life bars are much more efficient for this purpose.
I did not include any life bars at all because I wanted to transmit some sense if "realism" to the fights, but since quite a few players complain about that, I'll be more thoughtful about this.

PS.: BTW thanks for the GOTW :)

So, I finally got some time to play this one and OMG is it good!! I haven't gotten too far into it yet, but I fell in love with it as soon as I started playing. Great job!

Feels a bit sluggish and floaty to me on ip6. The frame rate is not to good and animations are simple. I'll give it a chance though.

Wonderful game, I've been saying that iOS needs more games like castlevania. This is probably the most generous free game I've encountered on iOS. Consider adding a coin doubler or tip jar IAP. I don't( and never will) buy consumables in iOS games because that is saying continue that practice and I HATE one time purchase consumables along with what they've done to the gaming scene. Even though I want to give you money I have no way, that my principles will allow me. Otherwise thanks for making such a fair/balanced free game.

Has anyone figured out how to upgrade weapons? I have a few items with grey stars on them, and I'm assuming I'll be able to make them stronger. Correct?

Be a little patient. I do not want to spoil the mystery. But you will see soon. Which level are you at?

This is a wonderful game. I just bought $5 worth of gold, not because I needed it to progress but just as a thank you for all the pleasure it has given me.

Also a big THANK YOU for making a platformer that is not ridiculously difficult to play. So many start out well and then become more frustrating than enjoyable. With this one I feel I MAY be able to see it through to the end #

It's super polished, controls feel great...I can't say enough good things about your game. Hope it gets featured by apple or something to give it the exposure it deserves.

    Guess what? Classified.
    Classified.
You know a game is going to be good when there's an intro cutscene, and that you can customise your characters hat.
Only played one level and I can confidently say this is going to be fantastic.
