And where does the ticking sound come from coz there arent any clocks around. I dont think it actually has a time where the snake attacks the block you are standing on, so i feel like the clock is just destroying the pacing of the game and interfering with the music. EDIT: Ok watching forward the ticking stopped. I really hope there's not a lot of ticking in the later stages coz i really find it annoying. I'm a designer of this game and I would really like to hear your feedback. For our indie team releasing the game is just a beginning of the Magic Flute journey. So if you have any ideas or comments on what you would like to see more in the game or the other way – about the things that distract you (like the comment regarding a clock sound – let me know here. I'm all ears! But please don't judge on videos - when you play the actual game on a device you'll get a full experience. Thanks for playing! Lab Like clearly know how to make games. I ca't think of anything to add that would improve it. Some of the puzzle levels are difficult but so far I solve them eventually, which is how it should be; though I'm only up to level 15. Most games I turn the music off as it's a distraction but here I leave it playing as it helps me to think. And the operatic setting makes for something fresh and original. The use of Miyamato's staging is inspired. Well, one thing, maybe I'd like to see a landscape format as I find that easier on Ipad. The ticking clock seems to have gone. olomorolo Member Sep 24, 2015 12 0 0 #15 olomorolo, Sep 25, 2015 Hey @Stronsay, thanks for your opinion! I found a few comments here and there that the puzzles in our game are sometimes too difficult. But I believe that a puzzle game should force a player to make some mechanics exploration to find the solution as you did We might add the landscape mode in the future. Thanks for the tip! sobriquet Well-Known Member Patreon Bronze Jul 30, 2015 1,216 1 38 #16 sobriquet, Sep 25, 2015 I for one hope the clock stays. It adds a sense of pressure to get through the level even though you can take your time. Works well in my opinion. Great game by the way. Took my a little while to wrap my brain around it. The first level after the tutorial (level 3 maybe?) took me about a half hour to solve on my first try. After that I got better and really enjoyed playing. CygnetSeven Well-Known Member Feb 6, 2010 7,596 33 48 #17 CygnetSeven, Sep 25, 2015 Game looks nice but I don't like timers. Is there a casual option that will eliminate the timer aspect of the game? Looks fantastic though, great job! Stronsay Well-Known Member Aug 6, 2015 987 230 43 #18 Stronsay, Sep 26, 2015 Last edited: Sep 26, 2015 I'm not a fan of timers either but here it's ok. You can take as long as you like to complete a level initially, but the quicker it's completed the more stars you get, and apparently at some point a certain number of stars are needed to pass a checkpoint, but I haven't had any hold-ups so far, and I'm now at level 17. Once a level is figured out it's easy and fun to run through it again quickly to gain more stars, but best to do that immediately before you forget the solution. 8BitFlash Well-Known Member May 19, 2015 182 0 0 #19 8BitFlash, Sep 27, 2015 Joined and supported this game. I know it sounds odd but I do like speedrun games, just not puzzlers with timers. I hadn't looked at this as a speedrun type of game until you mentions the replaying. Thanks for swaying me!
