EDITED: PROBLEM SOLVED Hi. I've just purchased a 64 GB iPad and restored it with my iCloud backup of the previous iPad, but now Magic 2013 tells me that the game is not unlocked and I have to pay 7.99 € again!!!. Can't log in in multiplayer and it keeps reminding me that i can unlock it for 7.99 €, thing that I already did. If I tell it to unlock it a dialog appears saying that 7.99 € will be charged to me. WTF? I purchased the full game and have been playing it before (BTW I lost all my progress once before and had to start from the beginning). Do I have to pay for the game AGAIN?. Thank you very much. PD: Solved it already. There is a restore purchases in the config menu. This could be tested upon reinstalling as Amplitube and Ascension has done. Anyway, problem solved.
It doesn't work like that. As long as you are using the same Apple ID to log in on your new iPad, then you can safely "Buy" the game again. You will be notified (after you press the buy button) that you already own the game/content and you can download it again for free. As long as you are using the same log in you used to buy it, you cannot be charged again. Edit: Or...you can use the restore button. That will work too.
So, let me get this straight....this card game wont fully work on my ipad 1?! Better tell Shadow Era, Ascension, Kard Combat, Spectromancer, Summoner Wars etc. cuz they work fine and all have my money. I want to buy this badly but I'm not willing to pay full price for only 80%(?) of the game! And before everyone gets excited, I get that my 3 year old ipad is old and obselete but seriously, it's a card game not Halo 4, heck it's not even Halo 1!
It runs just fine on my wife's iPad 1. Where are you hearing it won't? And to be honest, this is leaps and bounds more complex in its graphical usage than any other card game on the app store. It's a direct port of the 360/PS3/PC version (with some very minor changes) and I am blown away that it at all runs on an iPad 1, seeing that the iPad 1 is even less powerful than an iPhone 4!
Wow, I totally misread what the Talrand "Crosswinds" deck does. I thought it was a blue skies beatdown deck - it's actually a twisted complicated Infinite turns combo lock deck. I love it! :-D 3 Sleight of Hand 2 Disperse 2 Mana Leak 2 Repulse 2 Cancel 4 Talrand's Invocation 3 Rite of Replication 1 Bribery 1 Followed Footsteps 2 Future Sight 2 Time Warp 1 Panoptic Mirror 1 Cast Through Time 3 Azure Mage 1 Spiketail Hatchling 3 Fog Bank 2 Archaeomancer 25 Island So many wonderful targets for a kicked Rite of Replication... Massacre Wurm has been a favourite!
Yeah, this is my favourite deck at the moment, too. I think your version is quite combo oriented with high-mana cards. Mine is more control oriented, to ensure the 9-15 mana required to get Archaeomancer-Rite-TimeWarp loop started. So, I'm having twin cast, call to mind, no mirror, no cast through time, no Footsteps, no Future Sight only 1 Mage, and also Talrand, to more flexible overall until the mana is on the board. Wish there were more Mana Leaks and actual Counterspells, though. How's your experience againist Gobo and green fatty (those are the ones that give my version the biggest headache)
I don't really get why you've taken out the Mirror and Footsteps. One of the strengths of this deck is that you've got three overlapping combos, but you've taken two of them out! Panoptic Mirror & Time Warp = GG Archaeomancer & Time Warp & Footsteps = GG Even Cast Through Time is good, because it means you can do the 14 mana combo with just 5 mana. T1) Cast Time Warp T2) Rebound Time Warp, cast Rite, pick up Time Warp T3) Rebound Rite, pick up Rite, cast Time Warp T4) Repeat from T2) I'm really confused by your post as well, about playing 3 Archaeomancer and 4 Rite of Replication. I've unlocked all 40 cards and there are only 2 'Mancers and 3 Rites in the pool. Are there more cards to unlock that I'm not aware of?!? Anyway... Krenko is definitely your toughest match. I'm probably no better than 30% in that matchup, although that might get better if I stuff in the Hatchlings to help mitigate early damage. Green fatties aren't a problem though, because you tempo control them so much and your Rite of Replication is really powerful against them.
Yeh, sorry, those were typos/confused. Mirror and footsteps I took out because the mana curve is quite crazy already. The times I've played against that deck with mirror/footsteps, the opponent never got the combo going through those. Gobo beat down is just too popular and I rather included a few control/defensive low-mana cards. The fatty deck poses a problem to me because the creatures are there quite fast and nearly all have trample.
The footsteps is pretty bad, easily the least likely way to combo out. I may take mine out. The mirror is just great, pretty much any card under it can make difference between winning and losing... endless Invocations or Repulse, even a humble Sleight!
At first, I thought Crosswind is the worst deck out there. Fun to play, but really bad with the 3/1 flyer and 2/2 flyer with not much control. After unlocking all the cards, and promos, this turns out to be one of the best deck. Slow, but once you have set up your stuff, it's really good. I win mostly with a kicked Rite of Replication or Bribery, I seldom use Followed Footsteps, although it can serve its purpose when needed. I would honestly say too that I haven't used or maximized Panoptic Mirror that much. Maybe I'm not lucky enough to draw it with my matches, but when I do, especially against decks with no artifact control, it is pretty much game over.
It works well on my ipad 1 with the exception of the planeschaser mode-crashes everytime! Campaign now works fine after the update. And maybe that is the issue, that it is a port of a console game rather than ground up designed for the ipad. Shadow Era is pretty comparable and, with the exception of the ovcasional fireball chug, it runs fine.
For iPad 1 users out there that are having trouble with game crashes (especially when trying to play Planechase), here's a post I made in the official forums describing how to close down apps that are running in the background. Give it a shot. The problem you may be running into is due to a lack of resources on the original iPad. There are a lot of things happening in a 4-player Planechase game, and if the iPad has too many things running at once it could cause apps to shut down.
My wife (ipad 2) and I (ipad 3) still can not play this together through gamecenter. We got it to work once after playing against other random players on the internet but not after that one time. We both have the same appleid for purchases but she uses a different gamecenter login for her game status. That scheme has worked for every multiplayer game so far (kard combat, etc) except this one for some reason.
That gets me up and running in a custom planeschase game, but the planeschase campaign matches crash every single time no matter what. I'm not sure what else extra is going on in campaign mode versus a custom game, but there it is. Also, when it crashes it is always, always, always when all the fireworky stuff goes off when a planes card gets flipped over. So yeah, It's definitely an issue with the iPad 1 being low on resources, as evidenced by a consistent crash during a big graphical effect during the most resource extensive mode in the game. I know you guys don't officially support the iPad 1, but it seems to me that adding a setting to toggle these flashy effects would be the solution. Or if you really wanted to get fancy, just have the game automatically disable all the non critical graphical elements upon detecting that it is running on the iPad 1. I'm not sure how difficult turning off certain graphical elements would be, but I would think it couldn't be too terribly difficult and would be a pretty awesome customer service move (*wink* *wink* )
Sure. You draw one card a turn, play one land a turn, attack with creatures once a turn, cast spells when you have enough land to pay the cost in the top right, and otherwise do what it says on the cards. Double tap a card to view it up close. Press "more info" from this view to get definitions of the keywords on the card. Good luck!
To all IPAD 1 users...Success! I found the suggestion in another thread to turn on 'airplane mode' before playing Planechaser mode and wouldnt you know it, it worked....i finished my first full round of planeschaser! This suggests that the ipad 1 CAN handle the game. I'm not sure what that entails but it seems to me that we should be able to look forward to an update that allows Magic to fully run on ipad 1.
Unless the more recent update has made a big difference in this respect, I would say don't get your hopes up too much as it far from quashed the problem for me previously (airplane mode, fresh restart, no other apps running) and it still crashed.
