I was already dreading the prodigal pyromancer challenge grind that I did to unlock all the cards. My last resort would be to delete the app and try to restore from a recent backup. I sure hope they did something about it. Never again would I close the app without finishing a game, or simply forfeit.
I wouldn't be hard on yourself--one of the unintuitive things about the deck manager is that if you are looking at the locked cards (top right), you can't remove cards from your deck. You have to click on the unlocked cards (top left) to make them active before you can do so. But if you don't have any unlocked cards up there for that deck yet (which means you have to have removed a card successfully at least once), it doesn't seem like there is anything there at all--you have to either restart the deck manager or click on the one-card-sized empty void in the top left to activate the place to remove cards. When I first started playing, this bit definitely frustrated me for a time until I figured it out.
I was playing against A guy online, and he was playing garruks deck. One or two cards that he played were ones that I am certain I don't have in my garruk deck, one of them being "vineslasher kudzu". I have unlocked all cards in that deck, so how did he get them? Buy buying the foil conversion? Selling his soul? Any help would be appreciated. I beat him anyway though....
Go back earlier in this thread and you can find all the promo codes and how to enter them. There are 10 new cards for each deck, and they are all foil cards.
Any of you had the priviledge of playing with a 'pause rager'? I havent thought of a better name yet. Basically, this guy will pause each and every card, and or move/s that he or you will be doing. Of course, if and only if he is about to lose already. So much fun though because i was really trying to kill time. @zoet Here are the codes, credit to evenfall of the official dotp wizards forum. You can enter the unlock code at Player Status -> View Promotional Unlocks -> Enter Code. Unlock Codes 1 - FNMDGP 2 - KWPMZW 3 - MWTMJP 4 - WMKFGC 5 - NCTFJN 6 - GDZDJC 7 - HTRNPW 8 - FXGJDW 9 - PCNKGR 10 - GPCRSX
Thanks tabs and Plynx! @ tabs: well, sometimes I pause for no reason other than to check out the card they are playing, especially if it's a card that I'm not too familiar with on a deck I haven't unlocked yet. I have played against people who are loosing to my late-game comeback with crosswinds, and they pause all the time, I think just to marvel at their 9+ manna game-winners being cancelled. I hate rage-quitters though, but at least the AI takes over. Does this affect your multiplayer ranking? I personally always try to play to the bitter end, even if facing a humiliating defeat.
I don't leave even if I am losing. I'll take the loss like a man. It is rather funny, that time, because he paused for a good 2 minutes on his turn after casting his medallion, all mana tapped, with his single creature, and me with 7 creatures and he is down to 2 health. On my turn, he paused again, and left before I attack. RE: Promo cards unlock, I am not sure if they (Magic 2013 devs) were able to fix it already, but before, there are complaints that the cards, after unlocking the 10 codes, are not being saved. My tip, after unlocking the 10 promo cards, go to player status, wait for your status to update, exit, make sure it saves, and you are most likely good to go. You should have 40/40 cards unlocked now. Enjoy.
The AI takes over. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Sometimes it's better to scoop or let someone scoop so you can play more games in limited time. But I suppose this fixes cheating for rank or maybe there is some other reason?
Well, in games like Neuroshima Hex, where there is no AI takeover, it can be very annoying when someone rage-quits on you, and robs you of victory, so I am glad that the AI does take over!
That's a good point, sometimes the experience of swinging for the win is really enjoyable, especially after a longer game with a lot of buildup! But it would be nice if it were an option. Your opponent concedes! You win! Would you like the AI to take over? Yes/No Edit: actually another good reason for this is that I don't think there's an option to concede against your current opponent and ask for a rematch like there is in Ascension, etc. Conceding kicks you out of multiplayer entirely iirc.
Well, in Neuroshima, - which I gave as an example, the game merely tells you that th game is finished. It's all just semantics though I suppose. And as Plynx said, it can be really fun executing your winning turn/s. That is a good idea actually. Overall though, I like that the AI takes over.
The "Would you like the AI to take over? Yes/No" option would be good. For now, I guess won't be using the conceed button. I rather do nothing and have the opponent win faster and see if he gives me a rematch. And while it's embarrassing to admit, I actually lost games after the AI took over.
Are you sure???? How did you know?? Does it depend which AppStore u bought the game from or which country you are connected to the Internet with??? What about if u bought it from US store and playing it from outside US??:
I'm not too sure about it, since I'm seeing quite some Asian names playing from Finland. Could be of course Asians located in Europe. Also, I'm pretty sure to have played against at least one American, but not 100% sure. The limitation could be to warrant smooth lag-free gameplay.
