Total noob question (since I usually play asynchronous games with the exception of this only): how do I check to see if one of my GC friends is either online or is actually in the app so I can send an invite? I have been doing random matches with mixed sucess and would like the opportunity to play with people I've gotten to know in the TA forums or other games. Problem is I have relatively little time (usually play during evening EST) just to wait around and see if someone responds to an invitation. Just wondering how it works...
Just tried logging out and back in game center and it fixes the "forever crashing" (game always crashes after the golden dragon loading screen). The best part is that my game progress is intact. I don't think anyone has posted this yet so wanted people to know. Not sure if this method works for everyone though. Here is the detailed response I received from Wizard support: "Thank you for contacting Wizards of the Coast Game Support! As of right now the only fix we have for this is to uninstall and reinstall. We do have a fix that has worked for some users reporting lost progress on the iPad. Please note that in order to attempt this fix, you will need to have your iPad connected to the internet. Step 1: Log out of the Gamecenter using the iPad Gamecenter app Step 2: Load Magic 2013 Step 3: When it asks for your Gamecenter ID hit cancel Step 4: The game will be loaded and you should show zero progress Step 5: Go back to the Gamecenter app and log in Step 6: Switch back to Magic 2013 and you should see the message "you've been sent back to the start screen because you changed Gamecenter accounts." Step 7: Now when you hit "Start" it will reload your proper profile And if your progress was saved correctly to Gamecenter, this should restore your progress."
Thank you for this! I had tried logging out and logging back in to Gamecenter, but I didn't realize that I had to start the game while logged out of GC. Hopefully this will work in case of future crashes.
I there promo codes nobody knows about??!! I used the 2 promo codes here and got 2 new cards over deck, however when I was playing with a dude over game center, where he was using liliana black deck, he played 2 new cards, I have never seen before even though I used the 2 promo codes One of them is phyrexian obliterator 4 black mana, creature horror trample 5/5 any one damage this creature the opponent sacrifices the same number of permanents!!!! Another card is I don't remember it's name, it's I think a demon 6/6 , when he enters the battle fields or attack , he adds 2 creatures 2/2 Although I won on him with Chandra red deck and rapidly depleted his life points, But I want these 2 cards!!
For anyone that is still having this problem, it finally kept mine after I unlocked them all and played a game.
Or you can try and go to Player Status, wait for your rank to update then go back, it should save your game.
This game has some crazy bad threat evaluation. Nicol Bolas of revenge campaign vs me playing Jace deck. I used Telemin Performance and got a Grave Titan. He used Control Magic but I got it back with Mind Control. He is on 6 with Augur of Bolas and I am attacking with Grave Titan and 3 zombies. He casts Terminate.... on my zombie. Then a second on another zombie... Then he untaps. Thinks.... Cast Inferno Titan to kill one zombie token. Then cast Barter in Blood. (I sacrifice my 2 remaining zombie tokens). huh? Also, having Planechase games and watching the AI kill my Baneslayer angel and not care about my Felidar Sovereign when I have more than 40 life
Difficulty Level of play? Because on "planeswalker" level the AI is more aggressive (and almost cheating) and fun to battle against.
Do the different difficulty levels actually have different decks? Like do Mage level opponents have less rares in their deck?
They do. Frequently. However, it's MTG - either off-line or online. If you like DotP, then Standard format is for you. Think of DotP as an introduction to MTG. The next step is playing MTG either off-line or online and constructing your own decks. I believe there is even a 'Pauper' format in which decks can only be constructed from common cards. Not as fun admittedly, but keeps the costs down.
Cool, thanks for the info. I'm debating transitioning to MtG Online, I just get the feeling the learning curve cranks up about 90 degrees. Would anyone fancy a little informal TA tournament?
