Thanks for a wonderful version of Magic! It truly feels natural on the iPad. I would also like to thank you for taking part in these forums. You will find a lot of valuable feedback here and fans of the game will appreciate the interest by the developer. By the way I am the original poster of this thread so if you want anything added to the first post or the title please feel free to message me.
A few comments/suggestions DECK BUILDING A suggestion for the deck building section of the game. I think it would be a small but pretty useful tweak. Seeing that the cards are sorted by casting cost, and presented by a graph like image on the bottom, is it possible to make the graph clickable and it will quickly jump to the cards with the specific casting cost? Rather than having to scroll form O casting cost to 6++? AI TWEAK? I was playing against the exalted deck and with me using dream puppets. I was down to 1 life and he has like 8 creatures. Instead of him attacking all of his creatures, he opted to attack with one (of course, since it is exalted based). But I have unsummon and into the foil. Which pretty much made me last longer. Happened like 3 turns. While I understand the AI is based on one attacking creature, I hope it would be smart enough to change strategy. (Was playing Gold/Planechaser Difficulty)
Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of approval, this implementation of Magic is astonishingly good. What really surprised me was how much better it is then Duels 2012 on the PC which in comparison was frustratingly slow and clunky, not to mention the vastly improved variety in the decks and play styles offered by those decks. Couldnt be happier, even has a Goblins deck which just makes me smile to play. I hope this is a precursor to the next MODO client, goodness it would be great to draft on my iPad using an interface that works as well as this. Three cheers for you guys.
Ditto. I haven't played Magic in well over ten years and I can't put down the iPad version. I've talked two buddies into getting it as well. It will be just like old times for us.
It is. The difference between the foil and standard version of each deck is purely cosmetic. There are no additional cards or any functional differences. It's not an extra deck, but rather a conversion of the standard deck.
Been hooked on this game since I bought it last week. Seriously this is the most addictive game I have played on iOS so far. Make me really glad I bought the New iPad last month. The cards really look amazing on the retina display. This is the 1st Duel of the Planewalkers game I play and really enjoying it. As an ex-Magic player, it doesn't take long for me to refresh myself on the game. But this game is pretty newbie-friendly in my opinion.
Not really. You can see some foiled cards when you play higher enemies like Nicol Bolas. They're shiny alright, but hardly worth spending money on, in my opinion. The game itself, though, is purest distilled awesomeness.
Hi, first time Magic player here so pls forgive me for a stupid question. My untapped creatures (fire, on 2nd turn after they go on the board) cannot seem to target my opponent's creatures, only the player; regardless if the opponent's creatures are tapped or untapped, ie I drag that arrow from my creature to the other creature but the arrow doesn't stick. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
When attacking, unless a card or effect allows attacking a specific target, you are simply attacking the opponent.
You can never target creatures only the player. (except with special spells and such) Since the opponent can choose what to block and how, this adds another layer to the game. So, you're doing nothing wrong.
