We were going to do hints, but ran out of time. To help out, nightmare enemies in Master Mode have a much higher chance to drop, and tend to drop multiple hat types. That combined with the sheer number of master mode enemies means it shouldn't be too grindy even if you're a total completionist. Game Center achievement support should make it in. Yes.
So is the game gonna be submitted *hopefully* this coming week? Perhaps with a release being next Thursday (25th)?
It'll be pushed to the online beta group pretty soon (we mostly do local testing now), submitted if they don't run into any major problems. Then there's the wait time for Apple's approval process, so a release on the 25th seems doubtful. First week of September seems more likely, really.
Since the interview, I asked the RPG thread for decent (not KRPG) classic-style action RPGs. It turns out there's Across Age, which doesn't have "kill 10 things" quests, that I know of. However, our combat is a lot better, so there's still that.
Ash is a turn-based RPG, as opposed to a real-time action RPG. I'd love to take a stab at making a turn-based RPG later, though. Mage Gauntlet combat is all real-time, except for spellcasting, which pauses the game so you can select and aim the spells.
Both parts of that answer are awesome! Love real time action AND would love to see you make a Turn Based as well! Nice to see you guys in this genre. No ETA yet?
We'll be submitting very soon, but I don't want to give a specific release date until after we submit the game. Never know when we'll get stuck on some bug that pops up or something. Should be on the App Store some time early September, though.
Nope. Still pretty much in the doldrums. Tutorial bugfixing and tweaking. It's boring and completely necessary work.
Not for this game. Maybe in a future game. Multiplayer would have to both fit the game, and justify the large amount of extra effort/server power/costs it would take to put in.
GAAAAAH! Kepa, submit this already, i'm holding on to my last 2 bucks from my latest gift card and Contre Jour looks freaking tempting! please oh please? any update on release date?
We should submit before August is over with. Approval time should take either one or two weeks. Will have more news soon, the current part of development is just really unexciting, unless you're really into UI design.
