I think the master levels at the very end start to veer into "too long" territory. Waiting for more consensus on them before I make any adjustments, though. They're supposed to be really difficult. But yeah, I generally wish I had kept the level lengths shorter.
Were they fine in the beginning? I could have sworn they were very short in the beginning... EDIT: Like before the third map section.
They were decently short but could be harder. The one i mentioned before is very hard for its length, thats a bit exagerated.
Arcane Hurt isnt a must, i just beated the level with the iap trinket. And i also used the Heavy Cleaver. Im sorry for the double post.
In the future I think what I'll do is just make sure level length doesn't vary too much. Looking back, making the levels comparatively longer the further you got in the game really threw off my ability to gauge the difficulty.
I did find a room with a note from an old apprentice in Sealed Tower, but it wasn't an achievement room. Maybe there's another one that I missed? At any rate, I can still build up my hat collection while I wait for Apple to approve the update. Do Rooks drop hats? I've been using this image as a sort of mini-hat guide, and there's clearly a rook hat, but I don't know if they work the same way as normal enemies. Mage Gauntlet: The only game that needs a whole wiki just to keep track of hats.
I need to go do homework but the template for the wiki pages is up, someone needs to add the hat names and stuff! Am I allowed to post the link... because you can't google it... won't pop up...
Oh, I thought you were going for 3 stars... Oh well, in that case the iap trinket is better than the Arcane Heart by 1 heart. Gamblers Cut and Demon's ring could also be an easy combo for that level too.
1 life without Arcane Heart = 3 hearts. 1 Life with Arcane Heart = 4 hearts. 3X3 = 9 hearts. 4X2 = 8 hearts.
When you first die, you're revived in an explosion and the death doesn't count against you for star rankings. So it's basically six hearts + fiery explosion as opposed to Arcane Heart's four hearts.
Oh, ok. It must be bugged then, like the Master Mode note is. Both the Master Mode Secret Mage note and the Apprentice Room secrets are supposed to count as achievements. Rooks SHOULD drop hats. I regret making the Phoenix Feather IAP. I wonder if it's too late to change that (probably it is).
If not the iap trinket i wouldnt have won the gold Ashen Cult level, lol. Still i think it is pretty balanced but this one and the one which gives you 4 hearts make the other trinkets useless.
Really? The room I found didn't have any unique objects like all the other achievement rooms. Are you sure we're talking about the same place? If you do, I suppose you'll have to give purchasers something else. Perhaps an actual phoenix, as a pet.
The book from the former apprentice was supposed to trigger an exploration secret, yes. Despite the lack of unique art. Maybe... I dunno, I was thinking it'd probably have to also be a trinket. Will think about it.
You'd think they would have a higher drop rate, considering how rare they are. At least there's a group of them right at the beginning of Tetramont-M1. Then again, it may just be bad luck on my part; I had a similar issue where I had to beat the orc warlord about 30 times to get his hat while Vataneba dropped hers on the second battle.
Well we could post completed maps too, depending on how spoiler people want to be. I've been taking screenshots of completed maps just in case something pops up.
