We caved in and added something to smashing barrels/etc. 1 in 1000 chance for SOMETHING to appear. Something terrifying. If someone starts a wiki that would be great, I could help clarify what things do. Yeah, we'll do that in the universal update. Pinnacle 2 and 3 are obscenely difficult right now. We submitted an update toning down Crypt3, Orc3, Pinnacle 1-3, and fixing that Tetra1 bug. Just have to hope Apple approves it. You did it! Think you're the first one, too. How long did it take you?
This game is one of the beat games I've ever played in my life. It goes with Zelda, Donkey Kong, Metroid, Super Mario Brothers, Contra... Golden eye 007, space miner ore bust, dead space, parasite eve..... Game is near flawless... Not to hard, not to easy... Not frustrating, spot on controls, great story, secret areas, great weapons, spells.... Please please please stay making games! I bought all IAP just to support whatever it is you do.... Thank you very much for this labor of love!
Hi everyone! First of all this is an amazing game! Good work Rocketcat Games! Could anyone please explain the different spells to me? There are some where I can't see any effect. (e.g. Luck or the spell with an purple circle around Lexi). Thank you!
I took that as a joke when i've seen that in the achievement's description... Or maybe you are just joking now as well...? But what if there is really something terrifying in those barrels.... I HAVE TO SMASH MORE!
Oh, the update hasn't been approved yet. But we really did add something. In fact, there's a teaser picture on the twitter account of it. Luck = Increases all your critical rates by 2x or so. Ultralucky increases it by 5x. So if you already have a decent critical rate (for melee or spells) it becomes really noticeable. Silence (the purple circle) = Makes enemy spells fizzle out very quickly after they're casted. Doesn't affect some spells, and they might be able to still hit you if they're really close. Time Circle (green circle) = Makes all enemies slower and makes you a little faster.
Did you just change the requirements for Rain of Steel? Before it said to get 20 melee crits in a row and suggested using sword fury on a crowd of enemies, but that didn't do anything. I did manage to unlock it, but I did it by equipping the Rage Talisman, using an Ultralucky spell, and swinging wildly at the air.
Going for Careful Brawler and Don't Disturb the Dead now, each of which has its own special challenges. Crypt-3 has exploding zombies that will break coffins if you're not careful, and Tetramont-2 has one particular headless knight who likes to blindly smash tables with his staff if I don't reach him fast enough. Speaking of which, do I only have to worry about chairs and tables, or do the display stands/lampposts/banners count as furniture too?
I believe you have to worry about everything. Also, might want to wait for the update. We fixed it so enemies destroying stuff doesn't ruin the achievement.
Oh, that's not intentional? I was doing crazy things like leaping in front of fireballs so they wouldn't hit chairs and ignoring more dangerous enemies to charge at knights who looked like they were about to break something. It was a very unusual style of gameplay.
I guess Ashen Cult gold level in master mode needs tweaks, its nearly impossible. And everybody is ignoring my post, very well....
The first too long level for me was blorpx gold. But I 3 starred it. All these posts make me nervous for the upcoming levels... I've 3 starred everything so far and blorpx is the only thing I have done on the third page. I do find it ironic that we are "teased" about breaking items for random loot, when most of the hats are gained through grinding random chance on monsters.
So it seems that these achievements are bugged: Decadence Maximum Strength Solvent (even managed to do it with one acid cloud; still didn't work) Slime Cave vial room achievement Master Mode sidequest achievement (went through all the caves again, certain I've read all the notes) Possibly Shadow Sleuth, but it's also possible that I missed something; there's really no way to tell Careful Brawler/Don't Disturb the Dead. Which of those have been fixed? Also, does Shadow Sleuth count as an exploration achievement, or do I need to start looking for another hidden room in Sealed Tower/Tower Pinnacle?
Don't worry, I added a pointless grind for breaking random items. Woohoo: There's a secret in Sealed Tower if I remember right, the old apprentice room. Will check later. Decadence, Solvent, Slime Cave vial, Careful Brawler/Don't Disturb the Dead, and the sword crit achievements were all fixed. The last one was set to 5 sword crits in a row and the text suggestion was changed to luck spells and equipment. Need to check the Master Mode sidequest achievement, that's probably bugged but it didn't make the update. We need to add some way to tell when you've found all the notes in a level. Anyway, when the update hits I'll look at the achievements again and see what needs fixing.
More emblems! They can line up at top right next to spell bar - all notes found - all monsters killed - all secrets found They could be colored jewels or something. Kepa I like the vision you have for this game, I would hope that, despite all of the comments and suggestions you won't let Mage gauntlet stray from your vision. I'm looking forward to this hat wiki since I'm all about collection. I think from here on I'll not what drops hats and where so I can contribute.
Ignore the mages who teleport until rest of mob is killed as they only start attacking when you do. Take out flame mages first if you see a mob, their fire spells have quite a large radius. I used Heavy Cleaver to minimize my time taking out fire demons. Arcane Heart is a must. Use spells only on mobs of blue/red demons. When dark blue demons use their ice attack dash/charge towards them, attack, and dash back out (but not into their projectiles). Be patient for the most part. Have fun with Crypt 3.
