Nevermind about the seeker one, thought it had to do with reading tablets and such. I just got two achievements without doing anything, Artificer is still not working. Yeah, I've 3 starred em including bosses. EDIT I'm an idiot. Although the other two didn't appear at first for some reason, I didn't 3 star one of Tetra's levels which I though I did. My bad.
Only one star left, but it's in the final boss fight and proving quite elusive. HURGOTH! I have vanquished your minions, scaled your tower, and stolen your hat! Relinquish the final star at once!
Btw the fact that you can get the monsters to hut each other and kill each other ... Is fantastic, even if maybe it was not intentional. But honestly I start to get a bit bored of the fact the game is mostly slashing left and right.
About half way I think. The game is still very nice, but now I start to understand why other have asked for more magic. It breaks a bit the monotony of slashing left and right.
Get further. Maybe I made the early game too same-y. I figured I had to though, for an easier difficulty curve. iPhone audience and everything. The problem is that all the new enemy abilities then end up being in the last part of the game. What I really need to put in (in a sequel) is a more traditional loot system. Something roguelike-y or even Diablo-y. No one complains about Diablo being boring (ALL YOU DO IS STAND IN ONE SPOT AND MASH HOTKEYS AND POTIONS), so I figure it's all in the loot system. Am I too far off here?
I think my one major gripe of this game would be just how difficult some secrets are to find. Granted, by looking at the map you could make a smart guess on where some of them are but some, I just find myself sticking to the wall hoping I go through it to uncover a secret. I suppose I could just ignore the secrets completely but the OCD part of me just has to get those 3 stars!
Yeah. A good amount of the secrets have some sort of subtle hint as to where they are, like an odd patch of ground leading to it. But all it takes is one secret with no hint, or maybe even worse, a hint with no secret, and it becomes about wall hugging. Will tone it down next game, too late to fix it now.
Im very disappointed that there are only robes, i know the game is about a mage and all that stuff but i would like to have some real armor like maybe paladin armor which is like a tank armor.
I honestly like the approach of limited magic, but this works when the levels are short. With long levels as it happens here, magic os too scarse and the game end up being dash and slash. Plus levels are, for me, also too long considering the type of enemies sometimes. Maybe what you should also consider is long distance weapons. They might break the monotony of dash and slash without adding more magic (risking to make it all too easy). And btw I am one f those guys who sat with pocket rpg and stopped when finished as that game had a great balance of length vs slashing vs magic, for me.
To all those who feel magic isn't used enough: GET TO MASTER MODE! You'll be slinging spells left and right (and up and down) all the time. (Of course, on some of the easy beginning levels you can probably just plow through everyone. But why would you do that?) Magic urns are much more common in Master Mode, which is convenient, since you'll definitely need them. Quick, unrelated question: what does the stealth stat do?
Game Impressions Two things that the game urgently needs are- 1.A directory for all the spells, armours, weapons and enemies 2.Either some levels like the Orc 3 needs to be shortened or more spells should be available Other than that a perfect game
Oh, I see. Yeah, the problem is that the levels just got too damn long. POLL: *WHEN* did the levels start to feel too long for you? And yeah Master Mode works really well. It's difficult, but the levels are short (for the most part), yet the amount of urns is the same as a big level.
This thread grows +10 pages everytime i go to sleep and then come back in the morning... It's hard to keep on Ontopic: I also feel like the level are a little long now... It started somewhere around the orc forest and the boar + slime parts were also pretty long... It's overall a nice thing if a level is long, but when you die and want to keep that star by not resurrecting yourself, then you just have to restart the whole map again... It's tiresome..
Orc Forest 3, right? BESIDES THAT ONE. That one is unusually long for its depth. So besides Orc Forest 3, what level do you think is juuust on the verge of being too long.
@Kepa The long levels start in the third page of the levels. The orc level is the only long one in the first page. Please add a Paladin armor set as a DLC.
Does anyone know where to go in the "Tetramont's estate" stage - area 1. I know that there are hidden walkways through walls, I have found quite a few but do not seem to find any more to progress. I found an area with two doors/barriers with two humanoid enemies on the other side. Not sure how to make the doors open. Does anyone know where to go? Thanks.
