@Kepa Te iPad 2 is pretty powerful so could you optimize the universal update so that it will run at 60 fps on the iPad 2? Thats a feature I would really want.
Whale trail has more mass apeal which I think factors into GOTW. I like em both in different ways and both are worth the money. But please put some damn things in all the plants, boxes, stautes, candles, etc that I go outta my way to smash in Mage Gauntlet.
This is a surprisingly good RPG, even has some nice object physics. One thing that's really annoying though is that there are way too much destructible objects, and none of them actually drop anything. Unlike Zelda where you can cut pretty much everything down and some of them will drop hearts, items, or money, in this game you can destroy everything but nothing will drop from them...

I'm a sucker for any kind of RPG, and with all of the glowing reviews for this little gem I buckled and just picked it up. Will be trying it out when I get home despite the overabundance of unplayed new games on my device! Congratulations to the developer(s)!
How many levels are there actually? Was somewhat dissapointed to find out that the 2nd map only had 4 levels Edit: nvm I read the discription more carefully
I bought it at the intro price, but may wait for the universal update before starting it. Or maybe not. We shall see.
If you read further back, Kepa mentioned that the barrels/flowers/breakables are a joke at all games that have "stuff" hiding inside breakables.
im a little bit dissapointed with the graphics/animations (i think that the hook games look better than this) maybe double the pixels or make the game world look smaller for retina devices, i also think the main menu could look better if you added some animations to the scenery/water and slowed down the skies movement speed !!
Has anyone put much thought into how to spend points at level ups? A balanced approach is probably best, but I'm tempted to put most of my points into luck for crit. Any comments?
Got some mroe time in on this game... first, don't change the icon. I think its a great icon and imo making the icon an image you only see once in the game and not actually on your character is kinda dumb. Second, I find the charge attack kind of frustrating. There seems to be code that helps prevent mobs from overlapping each other, unfortunately this means when charging a group there is a good chance one of them will not get hit and it becomes an instant hit because during that charge, the mob has triggered his pre charge and stomps on you as soon as you stop. Maybe by building in a short range ability canceler the charge attack won't be such a big gamble to use. I've also passed the pig boss, and while most of the mechanics were good, I didn't like not being able to see which part of the room he was currently aiming at. This coupled with the fact that the ipod screen is small enough to scroll the boss off screen makes the fire spread shot seem like a cheap shot.
I don't remember any secrets south of the bridges in that level, I recall they're all northwards. Surprised it hasn't dropped yet, it probably will when I raise the price to 3 dollars after tonight. I wasn't expecting game of the week at all, to be honest. We make niche games as a point of pride. Haha, yeah. Intentional. It's me being a jerk. The destruction achievements text actually make fun of you for getting the achievements. I'll tone it down next game, in which I'll find another way to make fun of compulsion disorders RPGs have given us all. I think we already cap the game at 60 fps? I'll check to make sure. The sky used to go even faster, will see if we can tweak the main menu some (not a hugely strong chance though since we're working on a new mode and such). Are you playing on an iPad or iPhone? I like how it looks on an iPhone, but I kind of agree that it borders on too chunky on an iPad. Not sure what we can do, to be honest, as if we zoomed out it might mess things up... will see later. I intentionally made the charge somewhat narrow, so you have to be careful with it. It's narrower than a sword swing by a good margin. I pretty much had to do this, due to a combination of the stun effect and how with a high VIGOR stat you can charge extremely often. The bosses were a big design challenge just because the screen is so tiny. He's always tries to aim at you. I just try to keep him onscreen when he's shooting. Not exactly sure what we can do to improve it, except for making the room smaller... ++++++ Has anyone beaten the game yet in story mode?
im playing on ipt4 and why do you want it to be less than 20mb anyway ,i think its doing ok at its current size !??
Bought the game a few hours back for my ipad2 Not sure to play the game on 2x or wait for universal update. Any ETA on the update might help me with the decision
i was pretty sure that i was gonna get asked about this ,lol anyway the folder was named like this before putting the game in it ,and i didnt care to change its name !!
The icon's slightly different at the 3 different sizes you have to submit it at. I think we might change the icon with the mini-update we're doing next (after the one that we already submitted hits).
