MAG, is awesome. I participated in the openbeta which at first failed, but then got awesome once it worked. This game comes out tuesday, AND I CANT WAIT!!! im gonna play like 24/7 But this game is so awesome! Incase you havent heard: This game uses and pounds online modes. Thats all the game is, well there will be more. But, the online is just amazing! It is like lag-free and no 'FINDING NEW HOST...SENDING TO NEW HOST' like some other games But, what other game offers 128 v. 128 hurmmm? NONE!!! Well nothing on a system that is...But, you may say, Scott, wont you just get raped by some noobs? The answer, no. Because its not JUST team deathmatch. when your playing 128 vs. 128 your team has 4 platoons, each with 4 squads. Each squad having their own mission, so, its even. Do your part, and dont try and do another squads or platoons or even teams job, and this game rocks! PS, dont suck when it comes out, just because your used to regen-ing health, you'll get used to it
I didn't like the beta. This game really is just average, I mean it's cool that theres 256 people at the same time, but the controls and gameplay are just decent.
I might be interested if I didn't loathe online competitive gaming and every FPS that's been made in the past decade with the lone exception of Bioshock.
what kind of a name is MAG thats like calling a game JAM or ROG or TIM or YUR or NUG or SEZ or HAR you get the idea
It's one selling point is 256 players online at a time. While I would definitely wanna play it, team gaming is fun to a point. I also heard there's a leader for every platoon. Now, while most of you say these type of people are almost never on PSN, I know one of these days, your team's gonna be lead by a whiny 11-year old, and you're gonna be pissed.
Any online game of this type is gonna catch my interest, but after checking out the beta I found this to be a little average too, at least compared to the CODs. I'm still debating on whether its worth $60, I think Bioshock 2 is coming out in a couple weeks anyway so this one might get left in the dust.
I tried it, but it was nowhere near call of duty level, if I really wanted an fps I would just go get mw2(but I already have it on my 360)
Beta failed for me, just proved what I thought it would be like: A bland, uninspired shooter whose main selling point was the large scale battles, and even those are sort of a farce. You will never see more than 10 people at a time, I guarantee it.
Hmm. I was actually kinda interested in this one. Looks to me like my excitement was misplaced based on your comments, however. Maybe Killzone would be a better purchase.
If you do not own Killzone 2, then yes, obtain it as soon as possible. Best of the PS3 exclusive shooters, but I still found myself going back to MW and Gears of War 2 when it came out. Played for maybe a total of 5 hours; it was fun, just not more fun than my xbox.
