Well the screenshots really don't show much in terms of gameplay.
Is this like a lemonade stand type game? ;)

    nowhere near you!
what i hate in these kind of games is that most of the times the dev doesn't even change the "standard" bottom buttons o_O (nothing against this game or any other in particular, just my rant about these GUIs)

    Anyone playing this here?
    Care to comment on it?
Does it crash often? Does it have a way so that people can not cheat on it?
How are the graphics on it?

I'm about ready to give up on iMob and now need to fill that "i'm Carlito" gap, lol

    I'm playing it
I'm liking it. I keep coming back to it. I actually haven't played iMob so can't compare but I don't believe ther is any cheating here
There is no chat function even though it's an online game
There are no graphics. It's all text based. There is no crashing.

Do you have a particular question you'd like answered? I guess I couls always d/l iMob if you really want a comparison...

    No No No.
Do not download iMOb, it keeps crashing....

When it was running smooth, iMob was pretty good, then people started rolling the dates on their iphones forward into the future therefore getting more money and experience points. And now, the game will not load at all.

Thank you for your reply, going to wait till tomorrow, and if iMob is still down, then i'm going to try Mafia.

BTW, if they do fix iMob, try it out, you can chat with your fellow mobsters on it.

Hmmm, interesting. That's how people were cheating? Losers...
I don't know if that works in Mafia but even if it does, the game only lets you fight with people that are in your level range (1-4, 5-9 etc.). So if someone has cheated and has levelled up their character to level 30, they can only fight with other people close to level 30

I used to play Lost Power City (www.lostpower.com - the Past city, not the Present) and enjoyed it alot. iMob is similar, but doesn't cut it for me (and the cheating outright killed it for me).

Dunno about Mafia, but I'm hoping someone'd bring something closer to Lost Power City to the iPhone.

Holy crap! That is one FULL featured world. I hate to say it but Mafia doesn't seem close to this. So many options....
Maybe Mafia will have more as I keep levelling up but I dunno, I may just go straight to Lost City... plus it's free and works on the Touch. Wow, that's just crazy! Thanks for the link!

Seems like it's on sale now for $.99 so if anyone is interested, I guess now's the time to jump in.
They've already done some upgrades last night to gameplay, and seems like they are planning more....

If anyone has this game, we're now able to recruit each other...
PM me and we can send each other's family code....

it sounds like the one that was on myspace and facebook, there were a few, it was fun for a couple of weeks, then it got tedious, and every time you shifted money, you would get attacked, so it was even more tedious to shift all your assets around so if attacked, which was a guarantee, you would only lose a few thousand bucks..then it got boring, i dont think i would ever play this type of game again

If anyone has this and wants to join a family, pm me your user family code. The game is pretty good. Far more stable than iMob and has no cheaters either.

Just purchased Mafia(since its on sale for $0.99), it is more stable, but to tell you the truth, i like the UI of iMob better.

It seems to be put together a bit better.

The lettering links of Mafia seems a bit small to read/touch.

One other issue is with iMob, you can invite people just from the location.

Have no clue how to invite people from Mafia besides using my contacts list on my iphone. Which is useless to me cause i have no idea which of my contacts have this game, and most of my contacts are on BrickBerry anyway, lol

I also dont like the Mafia icon, seems too cartonish to me

I believe they are working on the the invite scheme.
You can also invite people via the consigliere in My Hood, though you need a family code

I think if iMob and Mafia got together and had a baby....
That would be one nice online Mafia game !
