Loving the grim setting and NPC interactions. Also, I was able to save the game mid-run and saw that there’s a continue option on the title screen. Awesome. Can’t wait to play more after work. I’ve noticed one issue though. When talking to a NPC or reading a note, the enemy continues moving towards you. I just died trying to read a letter that was lying on the ground. Now, that could be by design, idk. Just gotta hurry or clear out the enemies first. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,065 1,342 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #8 metalcasket, Jan 24, 2023 Sorry, no time to properly post something but HOLY SHIT THIS GAME RIPS!!! But only because I didn’t know what I was doing exactly. Apart from that I didn’t feel being unreasonably rushed yet, so I’m right there with @Anotherkellydown - I wouldn’t worry about the “timer” at all. At least for now. What you get for your money in return is gorgeously atmospheric experience full of creepy environments, monsters (or abominations as they’re referred to by those poor guys locked in there) and great combat. I mean, controls are buttery smooth, very intuitive and works perfectly well. If you make a mistake, it’s your fault. The game’s pretty dark and gory, which for me is really welcoming change. And the sound design is fantastic. I’m playing with my AirPods in and it’s crazy scary. I can’t tell about the longevity yet, but I assume even after completing the main story (whatever length that is) there should be a lot of fun left with endless mode. Although for that I’m missing Game Center implementation with leaderboards and achievements. I’m also not sure about cloud syncing because I didn’t try it yet, but I bought this solely with my iPhone in mind, so I might not even try it on iPad. It just feels right on iPhone. (Oh, I just checked the title and it seems to be iPhone exclusive, not universal, so it’s all good). @ste86uk Long story short, just go for it. The GOTW award is well deserved. For that 4,99€ it’s a no-brainer. Highly recommended! metalcasket, elcrazy, Alex DeLargest and 2 others like this.
