It looks like the receiver selection may be touch-based in that you touch the circle of the receiver rather than a symbol. That'd be nice.

Yeah you really can't judge as of right now. Maybe it plays really well. I don't like gameloft's scheme where it freezes and lets you decide to make a move. Boring as hell. This better have real time moves. If it does, i will get it. The screenshots don't look worse than nfl 2010 btw. I think they look better. Although the buttons are kinda clustered in the lower right. No biggie as long as they work well.

im pretty sure the buttons at the bottom are for the moves like juking and spinning.

You gotta be joking right? Here are the screenshot comparisons. I think it is very clear which one is better... (click for enlargement). See how nfl 2010 is all pixelated? Madden 2010 is soooo much cleaner and crisper. No contest. MADDEN GRAPHICS BETTER

Looking at these two screens, I'd say I like NFL way More than Madden. For example, look at the crowds and the city in NFL. Way Better.
Also, I personally dig the bright crisp grass NFL has.

    I wish it was submitted...

What I really want most in Madden which will make it the clear winner (as long as gameplay is decent) is an ongoing stats for your season. Kind of like a statistic hall of fame.

NFL2010 for me is a no go because once your done your season, there are no more stats to look at or compare from 1 season to the next.....
And for me, that's what makes the game replayable.
I don't need to start a new season with every team, but I would like to have multiple seasons (or individual seasons) but be able to compare my stats from one season to the next.
Asking for a franchise mode is probably unrealistic so this is what I want...

NFL definitely has brighter colors and a more "bang" in there in terms of graphics.

Madden just doesn't seem to offer that same, bright colors along with that "bang". Control scheme also looks very confusing, and with a total of 6 action buttons, it's going to be easy to chose the wrong one.

look at the line distance. In nfl 2010, the farther the field goes down, the less we see. Hard to explain but it gets really fuzzy and even half the field goal post is missing. In madden, the line perspective remains crisp and clear. The players and their jersey numbers are also clearer in madden than nfl

Also, personal opinion, I would much rather have 6 buttons than to have the game pause and have me choose a move. NFL 2010 takes no skill. It got really boring after a couple games. Also, nfl 2010 might be brighter (which i don't matters at all), but graphics are undeniably worse (see my above post). I like the darker look of madden. It makes it look more professional. Also, the grass of nfl 2010 is just a bright neon yellow pixelated furmat while in madden the grass is neat and clean.

Ummmm...the Madden players are pixelated too...they are just smaller. I don't think we can judge anything by the screenshots anyway, but it seems weird to say that Madden looks better. If you just compare the screenshots, it seems that both have pros and cons. NFL 2010 sacraficed different things for performance than Madden did (cleaner lines, less flashy looking).

I don't know if we are viewing the same screenshots, but the Graphics and UI buttons in Madden look much better and polished than NFL '10.

I guess it's a matter of opinion for this topic. Not everyone sees the same things ;)

We'll just have to wait and see how it plays out, but personally, 6 different buttons all in one corner of the screen looks like a problem.

They are not "smaller" they are bent down in preparation for blocking, unlike in nfl 2010 where the o-line is standing up straight. that is another con for nfl, it is not very realistic. as for pixelation, madden does have some pixelation but noticeably a lot less than nfl 2010 does.

are you clicking on the screenshots to get an enlarged preview? I guess it is a difference of opinion, but i just can't see how nfl 2010 can look better. Regarding the polish, look at the name "Peterson" and look at "B. Favre". I think that Madden has more polish regarding the names of the players and overall polish by looking at the graphics. but everyone may see things differently...

Ok. Here's what's going on. Madden fanboys are crapping in their pants because they get to play Madden 10 on their iDevice, just because they're fans of the console game. On the other hand, the people that have NFL 2010 (Me) aren't so biased towards Madden and like what they get. Madden or not. Just because it says Madden, doesn't mean it's gonna be epic in gameplay. Don't be so biased. The controls are screwed up and this is gonna get 1-star reviews because of the controls and 5-star reviews cause it's Madden but it plays like the first version of Duke Nukem for the iDevice. Get my point?

You cant say nfl 2010 is going to be better then this as well. Other people have different opinions and you cant stop them from saying their opinions. of course a lot of people have big expectations for this because its MADDEN. And the controls dont even look bad. they look better then nfl 2010 controls. Even by looking at the bottom corner of the pics, you can tell theres way more stuff EA added. like throwing it out of bounds and the other clock thingy which i have no clue what it is for.
