Vick is OK, but would I pick Kolb over a guy who's either been in prison or house arrest for 2 years? Yes. Yes I would. I'm not saying it's not a good fit as a situational thing, but this is going to piss off Donovan and Vick wasn't a Super Bowl quarterback in Atlanta, he certainly isn't a Super Bowl quarterback now, and I don't see him being one in the future. I still feel that Vick will never be the starting quarterback in Philly. He's a gimmick; maybe a valuable gimmick, but a gimmick just the same.
Wow why don't you check up on stuff before you post?? Donovan Mcnabb is the main reason why Vick is going to Philly. Did you not watch the Vick introduction to philly this morning? Donovan reached out to Andy Reid and the GM and told them to consider getting Vick. Mike and Donovan are close and good friends. For the record Michael Vick is so much better than Kolb it shouldn't even be debatable. I mean seriously.
Puh-freaking-leeze. What the hell is Donovan supposed to say? Trust me, I'm well informed about the NFL, so get off that bogus point. I'm SURE Donovan told management to go get a guy that could potentially take his job. Yes. This makes a lot of sense. But just consider for a minute that perhaps this is Donovan's way of saving face after being humiliated last year when he was blindsided by a quarterback picked in the second round. Now, here comes Vick. You don't think he was given the opportunity to say it was all his idea? Donovan McNabb is NOT the main reason why Vick is going to Philly. Do you want to know the main reason Vick is going to Philly? They offered him money first. Period. And how on Earth can you say that a guy that's either been in prison or house arrest for two years is better than a guy in his second year in the system? I'm not saying and never was saying that Vick doesn't have more natural talent (although as a QB it's debatable) than Kolb, but you don't waste a second round pick on a QB you don't expect to start for your team. If you're picking a QB in the second round, you expect him to start. Period. It doesn't always work out that way, but no team will draft a QB that high to be a backup.
As long as your convinced. Vick served his time respectably and was playing football the entire time he was incarcerated for the prison team to stay in shape. Kolb will never be as good as an athlete all around like Vick. By the way Donovan McNabb is one of the main reasons Vick is on the team...McNabb asked for Vick (they are good friends) I agree that Vick isn't a "Superbowl" QB but neither is Mcnabb...He couldn't lead a horse to water. Cant wait to see him in action on the field and in Madden once the rosters are updated.
Just keep in mind that all of the people who you think are smart enough to be brilliant for bringing Vick in are the same people who spent a second round pick on Kevin Kolb. Trust me when I tell you that they thought VERY highly of him if they drafted him that high. And I totally agree that McNabb's Super Bowl window has passed. As a matter of fact, it passed about 5 years ago. I am absolutely not convinced that McNabb is happy that Vick is there. No professional athelete, especially a starting QB is happy someone is there who will be generating chants whenever you go three and out or throw a pick. How soon until the "Vick! Vick!" chants start? Pre-season?
I've been a lifelong Falcon's fan and when Vick was our starter he couldn't throw the ball. Do you think it is a coincidence after Vick leaves Roddy White becomes a pro bowl receiver? Sure he can make great plays with his legs, but he is not going to lead Philly to a super bowl. He would do great out of a special packages like wild cat, but the offense should still be on McNabb's shoulder is Andy Reid has any common sense. Kolb probably is a better passer than Vick, but Vick is the best scrambling QB the NFL has seen
I love Vick, and the Falcons. I'm upset he's going on the Eagles. That's all I have to say. lol Anyways! There will be screenshots by next week!
Doesn't really mean a thing. Remember Wolf RPG was just released after being approved WAY back in May. EA is so big they can set release dates after approval and not worry due to all the marketing they have behind their titles. Go away, do you think you are funny because I think you need a slap in the head. How annoying...
As great as a Madden game would be on the iPhone, I'd love to see a remake of Tecmo Super Bowl with the current team and roster... :S I was a pretty big Madden fan, until I started buying NFL 2k Games on the PS2 since they were a LOT cheaper and played a lot better (new release NFL2k3 came out to $10, compared to Madden 2003 at $50).
I remember Tecmo bowl on my old Nintendo. That was really one of the best football games of the day. Madden games all have quirks that make the gameplay questionable. One things is for sure, Madden games don't have any consistency. It's still the king of football video games, but it's had its issues through the years.
Don't know if this has been posted yet but it looks like it will be next month before it hits the App Store. Madden NFL 10 kicking off on iPhone in September
Mcnabb and Vick ARE good friends man. And he really is one of the main reasons vick is going there. Was money a factor? Of course!! When isn't it??? Obviously if they hadn't offered he wouldn't have gone there lol. Maybe not right now but once vick does get back into the groove of things he will be better than kolb no doubt. For what they are going to use vick for he will be alot better than kolb. No team was gonna sign vick for his pocket passing lol. What your getting is what you see, a runner and gunner (not a very accurate gun at times tho lol). And no team signs a big name qb like this to just sit him the entire time too. He won't start thats for sure. But he will play more and have alot more an impact on games than kolb. I'm not trying to prove you wrong man just voicing my opinions too
