No it doesn´t, is a problem with this version, but the workaround is to simply remove all resident application on your phone or to reset it / turn it off and then back on. After you have done that, there will be no more crashes, assured! This is written in the appstore description and on many people reviews on itunes too, but most people seems just to like rating an application 1 star and killing good developers, this is quite sad

yes, it does, and if you don´t make it good enought for 3gs people say is crap , sorry for that, but 3gs is the bigger user base nowdays! Try playing it with airplanemode on, that usually makes it sligthly better.
No problem! I can fully understand What bothers me is that some games that run fine before now are slower... Steve promised a performance improvement with the next fw update, hopefully this will help a bit
Not only the games are running slower on older device with iOS4. I don't get why Apple did even enable this update for iphone3G. When I first saw the speed of the dashboard on an iPhone 3G with iOS4 I said: oh god oh god. Everything was slower. Apps who used to run great now run slow... iPod2G lives better, but this OS is meant to be run on a 3GS/iPod3G/iPad/iPhone4G, no point to update the OS on older device IMO. What we came across though is something worse. Openfeint 2.5.1 which was included, had a problem with the Acceptance page, resulting the game blocking on a white page (a reboot of the device fixed the problem on all the platforms, but we got like 400 bad reviews during the free promotion because of this) Useless to say FAAD and OF are not friends, but this damaged us quite a lot. Waiting Unity 3 being stable to compile with SDK4, openfeint 2.6.1 with addressbook access, even If my first thought was to remove openfeint loosing the thousands of scores, for passing to GameCenter, but perhaps is too early for this. An update which adresses many things and also add some features is in review, and will be avaiable soon next days. Best,
Sorry to hear you are having some issues. I'm proud to have been one of Mad'OBall's early supporters. I sold my 3G Touch over the summer and have a 4G Touch on order. Look forward to playing this game on it. By the way, does it have retina display rendering on 4G?

Unfair or fake reviews? Reviews like this (the last one we have received) Are just infamous. The iTunes Connect crash reporting system, nowadays, is working well, indeed the previous version had some issue, and I saw them all reported nicely and that helped us also a lot to fix and brew the new update. Then, we counted more than 200.000 updates in the last 7 days, 200K people with the 1.1.3 version installed and..now I don't see any problem of crash or timeout on this new release! I see so many new scores posted. So please... This is really starting to be ridiculous. @Apparent Symmetry: try to remove/delete/uninstall the App and download it again. This may fix your "unique" problem. Who knows what the networks could bring sometime! All the best,
The only problem I ever had was with the 1.1.1 version, and it was not so significant to me. With this update the problem is fixed, and the game looks and feel even better! Also, an unlucky friend of mine who updated his iphone3G to iOS4.0 just could'nt run it without first rebooting the device (actually the OS itself and many Apps had slowness problem), but now, with the iOS4.1 fw update he said the App always runs and everything got better. He also said that the last App update has made some optimization because now the game is more fluid. Can't believe this game is not in the first 10 yet. I would love to test it on an iPad someday
Thanks for your comment, meanwhile, after 2 months the 1.1.3 version is out, we can report that the iTunes Crash report is still empty for OS 3.1.3, OS 3.1.2 OS 3.2 (iPad) and iOS 4.1 We will probably release a special version for iPhone4G and iPod4G users, on 3GS / iPad is a bomb, but the game really takes off on those devices! The loading time for a huge level has become 1 second VS 5 seconds on older devices (2G, 3G). Another early retina display version shot. This new release will be for 4G retina display only and will probably have Game Center support. Tell us your thoughts. New major update! We are happy and proud to announce a Holidays Major Update is out in store! Version 1.2.0 Universal Among the various bug fixes, the more important was the timeout error on older devices when loading a map, finally solved once for all. - New challenge friends support (requires OpenFeint acceptance and some friends of course ) - OpenGL performance is now a lot better on any device, thanks to latest iOS4.2.1 SDK improvements. - Loading time got a lot faster on any device, thanks to the new SDK. - iOS4 qualified and fast app switching now working correctly. You can now get a call or push accidentally the Home button, without to loose anything of your game. Just be sure to keep the device flat when your restart the game from the tray - Minus scores displays and being saved wrong bug corrected ( we apology for the 2 scores we had to delete now you can try to do it as much as you like! Oh, we found at least 3 levels where you can arrive under zero !) - Challenges can be taken browsing the dashboard going to "Challenges" and take up the one you want to do! - You can challenge a friend after you have beat a "target time" on a track ( a new "Challenge Friend" button will display below if you have got any friend on OF ! - You can now enjoy and try to unlock ANY level of the game, even if is in a world which is still locked, simply receiving a challenge by a friend who already unlocked that level !
